Dolphins and chimps, although very intelligent, are more like humans than people believe- they rape, bully, and torture each other and other species in the wild just as much as in parks. I'd be far more worried about getting in the water with a bottlenose than an orca, actually.

I have been to this place. Every day these dolphins are RELEASED outside the pens and are free to leave if they choose. Wild dolphins from outside regularly show up and interact with these dolphins.

Simply put, these animals CHOOSE to be there.

Dolphins do attack people sometimes, but they do it by ramming or swatting, sometimes biting -- not leaping on them.  This looks like a mistake. Almost looks as if the dolphin started to jump, spooked and twisted to the side at the last minute. I've seen that with horses.

Radical generalist anti-captivity comments aside, there have been a string of such incidents at swim-with-dolphins facilities in Curacao, Mexico, and the Dominican. One incident had a woman bitten badly by a dolphin and they made her hide her wounds from the other visitors. It's more to do with the lousy jackasses who run the place and are more concerned with the money than the safety of their customers.

Bottlenose dolphins can weigh upto 750kg. Orca, the biggest dolphin can weigh upto 9 tonnes. They are big, powerful wild animals. When you are getting that close to a wild animal, you can expect accidents and attacks.
