@deprezzive This theme is there to emphasize the value of one human life. The electric production of the entire future Tokyo area is barely enough to power up one of the robots' power sinks (during Kanji's fight) after the pilots' cockpit had been crushed.

They use tremendous amounts of energy. Once the designated pilot moves the robot, it siphons energy from the pilot, that being his or her life force.

I believe the rest is "sent" to the Masterminds, as that is the point of the Zearth program.

Man none of those kids deserved to die. I'm reading the manga now and I noticed it's more scarier than the anime(Poor Kako, his death was wat worse in the manga x_x) the anime was great and i'm rewatching the series.

I can't wait till the manga comes to the US. I got to wait until Febuary.

honestly, i don't blame him. He went crazy cause all the kids(except kirie) treated him like he was nothing.

I was referring to the kids at kako's school, they even said crap like "we need a new pet, kako, go get us some drinks" and stuff like that. he wasn't accepted by anyone, except kirie.

That made him do some crazy crap and ended up getting back fired cause of chizu(but chizu also turned out to be pretty crazy too. Two crazy people = nice couple XD)
