I started getting annoyed with this video by around :30 - :35, thinking that nothing was going to happen. I was about ready to just watch another video. But once I got to :40 I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING! Clicked replay at least a solid 20 times, no joke. Glad you're ok, but this is mad funny!

That's me in the video! The fall was absolutely insane, I thought I was about to die, no joke. Luckily, I came away with only a busted elbow. Other than some bruising and swelling of my elbow, I'm fine. I also had no idea I hit a hiker on my way down! Definitely glad to be alive! ... got to admit though, watching this the first time just brought back the scariness of the fall but then second time, I had to laugh.
@steffidfhs I feel your pain gurl! I was hiking that exact spot this weekend 4/30/2011 and got hot by a snowboarder going that speed but in a tumble with a board. Nailed me head on, bruises and pain everywhere but i am lucky 2be alive, and I think i save his life b/c he was heading for the rock! I have to say i laughed hard when i saw this before i hiked...then after my incident i know how you feel! Scariest moment ever! Glad u are okay! I wish some1 had it on video b/c i was in shock!
Not sure where you idiots get 55 degrees from... I said 45-50, and that is PRECISELY how steep Left Gulley at Tux is.
Everything at Tux is 40-50+ degrees, once it is filled in. The Lip is the steepest section of the Bowl, goung 50-55 degrees (or more) depending on the snow/wind that year & filling.
Anyone who doubts that grade has obviously never been there...

Nothing funny about that. That person was probably hurt, and lucky not worse (I heard they Heli Evacuated somebody with a broken Femur - Very Serious)... Best wishes for them (Her? Hard to tell...) to be OK...
This is not "Be a Rock Star" -terrain, people. You MUST respect it, ski/ride within control, and plan your routes carefully (Note the way both skier & boarder descend - Tricky conditions there with sun vs shade). You should also have means to self-arrest on steep terrain (45-50+degrees).
