There are different reasons why each of those 2 calendars stopped instead of being infinite. 1st - you have to stop somewhere being that you can't make a calendar that goes on forever. 2nd - Microsoft stopped at 2099 because they figured after that, there probably won't be anyone still using XP. Except for ultra cheap dudes that don't care what day it is anyway. 3rd - the Mayans had to stop, they had no choice. Counts down to 0.

Many people thought that in 2000, the computers would crash because they would see the date as 00 and wouldn't be able to distinguish between 1900 and 2000.

just checked the basic window XP calendar on my computer and it stops at 2099....should we or futur people make any assumption, base on the fact that we didnt continu to 2100 and more....like the mayan stop theirs on 2012.....meens nothing...if they had lived till today they would have probably comtinued it.. 2012 isnt a number as i would say round as 2099 because 2012 is an adaptation of the mayan calender to our actual calendar...not the same unit...get whatever u want from what am saying..

There are different reasons why each of those 2 calendars stopped instead of being infinite. 1st - you have to stop somewhere being that you can't make a calendar that goes on forever. 2nd - Microsoft stopped at 2099 because they figured after that, there probably won't be anyone still using XP. Except for ultra cheap dudes that don't care what day it is anyway. 3rd - the Mayans had to stop, they had no choice. Counts down to 0.

I don't believe it. how can the governments of the world with so many differences keep a lid on the most important event since the begining of the universe, the end of it all. surely if an event like the coming of planet x "niribu" into the inner galaxy could not be covered up. many amateur astronomers have there telescopes pointed skyward somebody would have noticed things by now. if the Mayans were so smart where are they now. in the white house probably raping and pillaging some virgins.

Do you know how many worked on the Manhattan Project? 100,000. And they kept a lid on it.
An amateur astronomer's telescope isn't powerful enough to pick up Nibiru IF it exists and is where they say it is.

historically the earth usually undergoes a polar reversal every 300000 yrs or so...it has been over 700000 yrs since that last magnetic reversal. Gee i wonder if we are due for one...
