you have to remember during the events of Deus Ex 1 JC Denton is only six months old. His memory of his parents is just a memory implanted in his brain. I think it will be a new character.

on what fact u tell that JC Dentons memory was implanted ? It was not. Even in the final level, BobPage refers to the parents of JC Denton as Mom and Dad... So, he got real parent which were terminated at some point...

@mjbbell...there has been some debate about that...the general consensus is that this could be JC, his brother or indeed one of their parents. The timeline is quite vague. There is a flashing video analysis done by one VERY VERY eagle-eyed fan...however that only raises more questions...intrigue much?

They have mechanical mods. They aren't as convenient or as easy as cybernetic and Biomods. So it'll be quite different, but still good

DX1 was epic beyond compare, I spent days playing it and replaying it. DX2 was ok but no where near the level of DX1, DX1 was like The Godfather, DX2 was Godfather 3.

Deus Ex was supposed to have shitty graphics. it was supposed to still have the feel of modern-day prescence to keep it realistic. all the new-fangled graphics and tech/aug stuff in the following DX was nice for someone whose never played the original. But for diehard DX1 fans like me, IW was torture.

Yeah....i hope this is better than Invisible War. I liked some of the visuals of that game but some of story, plot, and characters seemed really out of place from the first. It was too shiny and cyberpunk. To keep respect and realism to the canon of the Deus Ex universe, they need to follow the first game's example and not change it too much too the point that you cant even tell its really Deus Ex anymore.

Deus Ex was how cyberpunk should be. Half old-styled, run down environments mixed with high tech flair. Think of Blade Runner and how that had a lot of old-city architecture still around. That's what I want to see in Deus Ex again.

The first Deus Ex was more like today, just with cybernetic/nano augmentations and evolved tech with a future prediction of politics. Long story short... it was orgasmic.

This game however... I won't hold my breath too much, but I'll look forward to checking it out.

yeah, it was set in the near to mid future...so you gotta expect some present day things to still exist stongly.....as for if it were in the far future....dunno how the game would have worked then

i do like heavy cyberpunk environments too...but put that into deus ex and it may not work indeed

Because DX1 was freaking epic and IW was barely worth testicle sweat. The story I think is where is went so far wrong, nowhere near as engrossing. At least Doom 3 was overrated this game didn't even get any hype it was like it was the bastard child that Eidos would have rather aborted.

Would like to see the original with more believable graphics though, maybe a merger with Crytek would do the trick bwahahahaha.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! Did anyone else get tingles in their spine when they heard the music at the end of this trailer? Taken from the beginning of the ORIGINAL Deus Ex. Oh man... The memories. I'm going to PLAY the shit out of this game when it's released in 2010. An Old friend of mine works in the gaming industry and he told me that he spent some time with Eidos. HE ASSUED ME, the game will not disappoint. I CAN-NOT fucking wait! O_O

My favorite is Deus Ex (the first one). I am spazed to get into the Prelude but I do love Alex D. still. I just believe the second story was, "Are you kidding me?" and there weren't as many traps or twists/surprises. This is all my own personal opinion and I don't force it on others or control others (you understand that). -jokingly- I'll proably have a baby when DE3 comes out and I finish it finally. Haha.

Yes, it's true that Deus Ex (2): Invisible War was lacking on some things yet we all loved the new augs, CGI effects, and black market things. I haven't seen anything but the teaser trailer they released for Deus Ex 3 but so far from what they say it's going to set as a prequel.
