Why when she sounds great ppl say "she lipped it"? Her high belting range is her strongest and therefor more perfectly in key as a result. I've studied her voice since the beginning and NONE of this is lipped. She's just that good!
Mariah just needs a lot of rest. She's getting older and her voice can't reach its ability daily without any effects as is to use to when she was twenty..... Anyways, when I see performances like this it kills me how critics say she doesn't put any emotion into her songs.

Please go back to the CD record and listen carefully. What'a more,I think those F5s are quite impressive but not as rich and ample as it might be for her 90s. It does sound rather mixing.

listen mariah didnt lose her voice. if you listen to songs even on her first album you can hear raspy voice. one song that you can hear it alot better is in make it happen. if mariah lost her voice she wouldnt still be on top. even still today people want to be able to hit notes like her and be able to sing even half as good as she does.

the nodules are what is to blame for her voice changing. They get worse with age, and limit her range more and more. She has lost a bit of the mid-upper range. She can help this by not talking for about 3 weeks or so, not drinking alcohol, that will help the nodules SHRINK a little bit. Might never be the way it used to be, but it would help a lot. She doesn't rest enough

I TOTALLY agree with you.However I have no doubt that all her 1990-1996 performances are all totally live or totally lipsync(and most of the time she used to sing live).She was honest at that time,but after 1997,that's when she started to mix some live,with some lipsync part,ughhhh!
Back in 1996 all the performances where live. However, they were remastered on the DVD. There are some live videos from the concerts back then. She was amazing... I really hope she can hold her voice together in the future years!
Everytime she comes out with a new album and people sware her voice is back I believe them. When I hear the music I get disappointed, so now I'm used to her voice bein subpar.

Please,it's not because Mariah now lipsync a lot that she used to lipsync back then.
She never lipsync "some moments" during the Daydream era,cause her vocie was at it's peack.She just did playback or sang it totally live.
You're wrong here.And it doesn't even sound like the CD version AT ALL,the key is lower here.
You can see some of Patti Labelles performances when she is so far from the microphone and the sound still sound the same.That's call power..

She has vocal nodules. She will not remove them, as she may lose her whistle register. Her nodules are the real problem.
