  • We blame so called men of God in Nigeria who alway brainwashed our people just because of money and self interest they drive from Eurocentric philosophy. They alway attack anything related to our Yoruba traditional way of life. For thousand of years Yoruba built social, political,Art and Religion System that absolute advance. I was in one Museum in Holland African Museum almost everything inside is of Yoruba tradition from Art to Cloth and many more. Please let embrace our root. Ifa mosa di o

  • the drums remind me of home, getting quite homesick now.. lol!

  • the problem is that there are nigerians, yes yoruba, for the love abd sake of money initiates any body that comes along their ways, europeans, etc, europeans should go back t their roots, druids, wiccans, whatever they practise and leave afrikan spirituality, because the name says it all, afrikan spirituality, not european spirituality, nor asian.

  • kwekuafroolmec: Anybody could be spiritually motivated and worship any god. Just as some Africans worship christian european Jesus or Indian Krishna. You seek the spirit that well motivate and define your interest in relation with ur creator.

  • Yep! Many Yoruba who are in the position to lift and revere the rich spiritual traditions of Ifa are the very same peeps who abuse it! Money is central to the reasons that some practioners are working. Those of us isolated in the diaspora are in much danger of the pariahs who talk loud about their chieftancy & their divine origins in terms of priesthood Many of us born diasporans place fakes on pedalstals & end up worse than disorientated & all types of abuse including sexual!

  • @kwekuafroolmec I absolutely agree!

  • I'm a son of the Oluweri also known as Yemaja. I'm going to see her when I go back to Nigeria. She doesn't promise, she give. She's the one you need when a man is treating you bad intentionally. She also help all the barren women deliver babies. Her babies are beautiful, healthy and smart too. Women are protected under her and no man born of a woman can mess with an Osun woman and go free with it. IYEMAJA.

  • Alafia.....This Iya you are describing is not the Yeye Osun of Lagos State....Aboru Aboye

  • This is quite interesting considering the fact that my family is Nigerian (Yoruba), and this worship is frowned upon more and more now.

  • Aboru Aboye Abosise

The only people frowning are the colo-minded inhabitants attempting to "euro-nize" their lives and others around them.

The fact remains Ifa has grown internationally from the US to Japan. Japan has BEEN practicing our Afrikan Spiritual Belief systems and so have Europeans.

It's time we as Afrikans need to DROP the chains out of our minds and get back to our ROOTS.

  • I agree

  • I disagree! It might be frowned upon more in Nigeria as Islam and Christianity are spreading in Nigeria, BUT OUTSIDE Nigeria Ifa worship is on the rise!! I have been in this tradition for eight years! Believe that Baby!!!

  • awa wa wa achang chasng chang chang wuuwuuw uwuuww donde esta la escupidera?
