These lights behave VERY similar to aircraft flares when looking at the left.

It's the right side that's pretty weird. Instead of just fading, they're shooting out to the side. Perhaps it's just the wind, or some new flare mechanism.

In my opinion, definitely not one the strangest I've seen.

To clarify a bit further on my position, I'm all for keeping a watch for unusual things that go on in the skies and folks that document them, however, one has to approach this subject carefully. Just because lights moving in the skies may look strange to you, doesn't mean automatically mean alien spacecraft. This is one of those instances. This is clearly a formation of jets, flying manuv's, seen from a good distance, creating an odd illusion. As I said, it's perspective that tricks the eyes.

The brightness issue you mentioned, think of it in these terms: What does [any] light look like when it's shining directly at you? Max brightness of that light, of course. What happens to the intensity of the light when it starts to gradually turn away from you? Yep, starts to lower or become dimmer. When the aircraft turns away from you, not only does the light fade, but then you see motion of the [object/aircraft] to the viewer's left or right, in the case of this video, to [our] right, instead of just the head-on, seemingly "motionless" ( even though it may be approaching rather fast, but again, the distance perspective fools your eyes into thinking it's just hanging there.

@DerEchteBold Apologies if I misunderstood the question ( as I'm thinking about it now! ) But if you were asking why the brightness level with JETS ( rather than with helos, et al ) , that would be the nature of these being training aircraft flying training manuv's. Sometimes the option for these missions to be flown with land lights on is favorable for improving visual contact with each other, and the folks on the ground as well.

@DerEchteBold Absolutely, friend! :) Situation is that I'm all for looking for good evidence of sightings, but one has to be on guard to not want ALL vids and pics to be the real deal. Many instances of lights in the sky can be explained by Earthly items, but there are a select few that are compelling. Sadly in this day and age with computer tech/apps being as advanced as they are, it's too easy to make almost anything look real.

Folks, hate to say it, but this one was put to rest a long time ago. These are Chilean Air Force [JPAT,et al] training aircraft. Yes, I understand that from the perspective of the video cap, their "motion" looks very odd, but again...it's perspective. I work in aviation and I've seen this angle MANY times myself. It may seem as though they're "hovering", etc, but the changing brt/dim of the landing lights gives it away. When the aircraft turn away from straight-on the brightness changes. Sorry

I would usually explain this formation with military flares, but it is clear that although these lights 'turn on' in sequence while descending as expected, they then each accelerate away horizontally and independently.

Those lights are the front landing lights of a group of 14 Pillan T35 airplanes making their approach to Santiago de Chile airport. Search in Google: "planes not ufo over Santiago Chile" - without quotes. Also search this: "T-35 PILLAN FORMACION"

Being in aviation myself, I've seen this type of sight before. Indeed from a distance it looks VERY unusual, however as the aircraft turns, the forward lights turn away from [us] also. Perspective is what creates the illusion here.

With UFO vids one has to carefully analyze the dtat first and have people who can recognize this more immediately.

they could not have been cars, because the windows from the buildings are much bigger than car headlights and yet they seem smaller than the lights over then mountain which is further away. The lights are too big to be car headlights.

Light reflections in a window wouldn't get obscured by the tree in the foreground like these do. Earthquake lights generally are a quick flash(s), Aurora Borealis like or rainbow effects in the sky. The Lubbock Lights were never proven/disproven to be one thing or the other, some explanations were reflections off of birds (lol) or military flying wing craft, lights reported and photo evidence were lights in a U or V formation. Do these look like birds or a flying wing craft?

I tend to be the skeptic with these kind of videos but I find those lights really hard to explain. And just to feed that skeptic part of me, "Unidentified" doesn't have to mean alien spacecraft. It definitely looks like cars on a mountain road. I have seen the same effect in Sheffield UK. That is why the lights are brighter as they come towards the camers and dim as they speed sideways to the camera. If these objects were luminescent then the light would not change. Just a hypothesis. Noone except the people involved will know for real
