golf is one of the oldest and most difficult sports to master.... think about it anybody can go out and never having shot a basketball, play the game, and have fun... same with almost any sport...except golf...it takes years of practice to even have fun on a golf course... and carlin like most people who dont understand the game probably went golfing once...sucked...and thought it was a stupid game...

That's funny, you'd think tackling a 250 pound man while in a full sprint, or using a piece of wood to hit an 80 mph ball, would require more skill than using a club to whack a piece of plastic in a straight line a couple hundred yards.

Right, there shnould be professional elites (like scientists or painters), there should be sport elites (football players, divers etc) but there should be no group of people who could wastefully spend the land that belongs to everyone, or decide on policies (like secret prisons) without the public's awareness. Plus, if you stand on the position that there should be some people that are better than others(on any level), then you should definetly embrace the ideas of fascism.
