  • Hi YOUNG TOM,you make it look so easy,i see youve got a formby banjolele,im looking to buy one if i can,as you said to the guy the new ones havnt got the build quality,any ides on what type to get and price range.what chords do you open the song with ,im trying to copy you.keep up the tutorials,there very good.regards neil

  • Thanks for getting back, i was planning to go to the formby convention in november with my wife and my son(hes getting quite good), but coudn't manage it, but will hopefully get along to the next one in march, maybe be lucky to get some advice and some tips about buying a better uke, its a bit like starting to play the guitar for the first time you just buy what you can at the time, anyway keep posting, im sure people are learning lots from it.

  • Brilliant, just Brilliant, i'm 48 , been playing for about a year, just bought a rally banjolele, and you have made me just want to throw it out the window,,,,,you've a real natural touch in your playing, how does your uke sound soo different from mine, mine sounds like a racket?

  • @turps63 I hate to break it to you but modern uke's are not very good! This uke I am playing is late 1930's, you can't go wrong with old crafting.
