  • continued .. Kicking a childs butt is not Christ like and too for very young children .who know no right or wrong yet ..well ..thats wrong ..

  • Christians are not bound by the Law so there is no mandate for Christians to spank their children . Although I am FOR IT . But only under a strict criteria . Also , if we are going to follow what the Old Testament says strictly from our bibles about Child rearing then we must include STONING our Children as well . No one WOULD or SHOULD do that . But my point being that it is you dont have the option to pick what you want to follow and omit the rest . continued ..

I don't recall saying it's a mandate. It's wisdom. If you hate your child and want him to grow up living like the devil, spare the rod. Check those stoning passages again. They're enforced by the government, not the parents. In the Old Testament that's the nation of Israel. Chastening is for parents to enforce. It still applies. It's not picking and choosing randomly, it's rightly dividing the word of truth.

Obviously you don't chasten children who know no right or wrong yet.

  • @ChristianTruthHammer . I dont think the bible clearly teaches that if one refrains from spanking that the child will in fact grow up living like the devil . If i am wrong then please correct me ... About stoning .. Actually it was the community not the government that did the stoning ...I know a wee bit about jewish law and history. Also on another note If you are to rightfully divide the word you must take the whole body of scripture in view not proof text in order to prove a point.

  • @MrAndycothran

I can remember 2 instances of stoning children: Leviticus 24 for blasphemy and Deuteronomy 21 for rebellion. First one they brought him to Moses (government, he was a king; Deut. 33:5), second one was a law that if it happened he should be brought to the elders of the city. Call that one what you want. I am taking the whole of scripture in view. That's why I brought up the differences in kingdoms, which is pretty much the main theme of the Bible. Also don't forget Hebrews 12:5-9.

  • Why don't you create another video on this topic emphasizing the verse in Ephesians (too) which you say you forgot to emphasize?

    Jesus Bless You!

  • A smack on a naughty child's bottom never harmed any of my children.

    Bless you young man.

  • Proverbs 29:15 The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother. Proverbs 22:15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child: the rod of discipline drives it far from him. Proverbs 13:24 One who spares the rod hates his son, but one who loves him is careful to discipline him.

  • Well said.

    Blessings.

  • Good teaching!!

  • Very well said. My parents spanked me too when I was disobedient and I learn respect, I never felt abused or anything. It actually annoys me when ignorant people call spanking "child abuse", they are calling my loving parents "child abusers" (!)

    May God Bless you!

  • Liar! You don't even have videos. I smell spam.

  • 5 stars man thanks for doing it. I added you to the MORE INFO part of the video. Kudos to your boldness and reading a controversial passage that I agree with of course.
