  • This is still paying dividends today! I just cleaned my F9 with your help, and it's working again!

  • Call Jura(1-800-767-3554) and they will go with you step by step, it is a very simple problem. In a couple of minutes your Jura 8x will run as new. The only thing that you will need is a paper towel

  • I had a very similar problem with my F50. The flow was inconsistent ending up in a very long time to push through one espresso or even in error message asking to open tap to release the pressure. I used the Claris water filter since day 1 and never ran it without it. Once each 6 months I ran the descaling process anyways, just to remove whatever might have gotten through the filter. Always changed the filter as soon as the machine asked..Tried differend coffee, varying levels of grinder setting

  • I had the same problem with a Capresso c-1500 (older model) and actually sent it back for warranty repair the first time. They never explained the source of the problem BUT when I called after it happened again they talked me through the procedure outlined here! This should be included in the instruction manual but it is not. Regular cleaning of the screen has prevented the problem from ever hapenning again..for two years now!

  • I have an ENA 3 that is about 4 months old and started having this same problem. After following these directions the water flow is working again. I don't know why this isn't in the manual from Jura Capresso or on their web site. It would have made life easier!

  • I have a sneaky suspicion they don't tell you this because units sent in after the warranty expires will set you back a minimum of 100.00 for them to take 5 minutes to clean the things! I could be wrong, it's just my belief that this is why they don't outline this very simple procedure in the instructions!

  • Thanks for your video! Instructions from Capresso: -pull out the drawer -look inside the unit where the drawer has been removed and look for a flap (it's really the first thing you see on the left side) -without moving the flap, reach your hand under it and up until you feel a flat surface -this surface will have grounds on it -feel for screw in middle -take paper towel and wipe off grounds -repeat until paper towel is clean -replace drawer and done! -do this about once a week to prevent this
  • I had my E-9 (silver color) for over a year and same problem. thanks for posting the solution. I took the grounds drawer out but LEFT the water drawer in. I saturated a paper towel and practically bathed the filter part. ran 2 rinse cycles then washed again, then ran 2 rinse cycles. The grounds go UP inside the piston that supplies the water to the grounds, that causes the stream to clog.

Not bad for 18 month old machine.

  • Really can't see the supply being a problem!!

I have an Impressa E75 and before it threw a Malfunction 5 (unrelated) the flow was similar to this - never thought it was a problem.

  • Just to let you know you might want to check the current of your electrical outlet. You can try using a avr to maintain the voltage.
