  • what shells you using? pretty big looking at 1:19. tight chokes by the look of it aswell

  • In South Dekota Pheasant Hunting is a part of proud.

  • Why is it, that when you are actually hunting them they seem to fly a lot faster??

  • @KreigsMarine2 I was just thinking that.... lol

  • fuck birds- those muther fuckers fly

  • Hunting dogs are so awsome. :)

  • @vels619: dude i've got a vegan aunt, but she tolerates me and i tolerate her and we love each other becuz we're family and we understand that not everybody thinks the same. you are just a hater. stupid activist.

  • someone Respond plz? ive heard that the mossberg 500 is good for pheasant and turkey hunting . I just want to know if its a good deal for only around $300. Is it cheap quality?

  • @AImosTskater44 Yes! The Mossy 500 is a great gun for just about anything that moves, as well as tactical and home defense purposes. I much prefer the 500 (and 835) over most pump shotguns out there mostly due to the safety switch on the tang (where a bird gun should have it) as opposed to it on the trigger guard. I shoot left handed so the tang safety works fine for me. The 835 is the same, but it also takes 3 1/2" rounds, and has a ported and oversized (to 10ga) barrel. still feeds 2/34 fine.

  • Man this makes me want to go Hunting, it's a shame that i've only had one rooster out of the 3 years ive hunted pheasant (I live in Iowa). But it has to get better sometime right? Good video, wish I could even SEE that make pheasant hahaha

  • When you eat those, do you have to worry about lead that shot into the bird?

  • @rasmasyean yes you can chip teeth biting down on a bb. just follow the path of the bb and look for bbs under a bright light, go for quail they are better for you and million times tastier. chukar are better than pheasant also.

  • i hate wen u have ur saftey on and go to pull and nothing happenes

  • @gossehunter97 That just happened to me this weekend at the range when Iwas shooting trap. My first clay landed in the field.

  • LOL

  • pheasants are full uric acid which is very unhealthy for the heart. not worth it when you can buy lean healthy buffalo or osterich. just a stupid culture. getting up early

freezing your ass off, trying to outdo the other small cock bastard

  • @huntersingle, it's a lot of fun. you're just jealous

  • @sndblstr you call shooting your 12 gauge at stupid birds the most fun heh? man you aint been to a massage

parlor have you. i used to hunt big game, upland birds but since i got my first massage i dont have time wasting time, i like the city where women are, in fields there is nothing but rabits, birds and a poor shot beer drinker who wants to out do me below the waste too. no fun friend. i also dont like ricky wardens bothereing me or other strangers asking nosey questions, bla bla hee haw

  • Why do these PETA guys always have to comment on the hunting, we get it, you don't like the fact that we are human and eat other animals. And they cant dislike it that much if they look it up on youtube

  • that people never read a book, never seen a good movie, never got out of their fuckin' hometowns....

stupid retards who kill beautiful creatures just because they are bored of existence...

  • @vels619 Why do you look up hunting videos? Or were you looking up tofu and somehow this just popped up....... We hunter's don't look up Rice Cakes and start bashing your style.

  • Some good shooting South Dakota is amazing

  • Nice hunting but. I can tell those are stocked (Farm-Raised) birds. Look at the tails on the roosters, they are fucking small. now I've never flushed a wild rooster because before I was born the farmers sprayed a pesticide called DDT, It absolutely killed every single wild pheasant in the area. So we have to hunt stocked birds that run like chickens and you need to step on them to get them flying. needless to say, pheasant hunting here in PA, is not as fun as you would want.

  • When you see a cloud of feathers......you hit that thing hard!

  • I love this!I can't get enough of these pheasants their so fun to hunt. Everyone should try once in their life haha

  • I'M FREEZING JUST WATCHING!!! MAIL MINE TO TEXAS! LOL

  • why just roosters

  • @chillnshred Shooting Roosters does not hinder the population growth of the species.

  • Thanks for the video! Using it in research for implementing pheasant hunting in PC computer game theHunter.

  • nice

  • at 1:20 u mangeld that cock

  • Great hunts...Check out my channel just uploaded some pheasant hunts!

  • golly. i wish i could train my dog like that... it wont listen to a damn thing i say though. lol

  • In Italy is forbidden hunting with the snow on the ground and in more than three people.

More, by those dogs and weared in that way, you would't catch a single bird.

you are simple shooters, not hunters.

    So long.

  • wow at 1:21 you really peppered that cock

  • pheasant hunting is great they r so much fun to shoot but it takes some getting use too. i love the sport very much and yet i have never been to little river it looks like a great place to go... now im dying too go there..........ps when hunting pheasant let them get about 20 yards away before u shoot so u dont blow the shit out of them..

  • i wanna try pheasant hunting now :P

  • hi, im from wales (UK).this walked up shooting looks pretty different to anything i've seen or heard of here, all the shots are taken at straightforward going-away birds and the shooters practically step on the birds before they are flushed... a good terrier would have caught them on the ground. wheres the challenge??? plus the whole place looks flat... it just looks so easy for any half-decent shot

  • I don't think it has to do with UK vs US just the fact that they are, I am guessing, hunting pen raised birds on a hunting preserve. It is mostly flat in SD, but if you hunt wild birds it's nothing like this. A lot of time, especially in snow when they can hear you coming, the birds get up way in front of you where you don't even have a shot you have a lot more passing shots. It's probably more similar to what you've experienced.

  • @Harvg1 they do walk up days here in england as well, but normally it is to mop up the last birds of the season

  • @Harvg1 Saskatchewan is way BETTER! and ten times more flat!

  • That buzzing sound when the text comes up is super annoying. 0:14-0:28

  • god pheasents are the prettiest thing... i love to hunt em but i just love to watch em to

  • definitely wouldnt want to try eating the pheasant that was shot at 1:20.....

  • @robsrugbymadness hahahahah might bite into a couple bbs

  • German Shorthaired Pointers are the best!

  • @MrRmk25 depends.. they get cold really fast i have had a chocolate that could out hunt a shorthair anyday best nose ive ever seen and then the yellow lab i have now really good dog still

  • Your just being byist towards your dogs but, Its ok I understand.

  • @MrRmk25 nah im not really... i duck hunt alot to so a shorthair wouldnt be anygood for me. and i know people that have shorthairs..

  • @MrRmk25 can they handle -30 ot 50 weather ?

  • @MrRmk25 epagneul breton too! :)

  • That shotgun is the superposed one!? That it(he,she) marks? Excellent hunt .. congratulations! Hurt that for my taste, they throw(shoot) him very closely!

  • going tomorro morning here in california

  • wow! you peppered that one!

  • the second one man my grandpa and i refer to it as a guillotine shot

  • I hope to go out to Gettysburg SD this Thanksgiving its always a good hunt

  • oklahomas pheasant count is up 100 percent

  • Id have to agree I live in nw ok, I make it out to the panhandle about 6 wkends per season good hunting, but still would love to go to S.D. some time.

  • nice i love pheaseant hunting

  • me too its awsome

  • The good thing about SD is that there is nobody out there to see what you're killing. Happen to kill a rooster, eagle, helicopter, hang glider? If it flies, it dies.

  • @roadwarrior1981 "If it flies, it dies" --------Now that's about the most ignorant motto ever spoken. What kind of sick fuck r u? I have a warden buddy in SD. Better hope he doesn't nail your dumbass. lol

  • @aspenmogul

Listen, you don't know the history of psychiatry, I do.

  • @roadwarrior1981 You are a shameful hunter, hunting is for fun and sport for the animal you wish to kill, you are a sick mother fucker.

  • @roadwarrior1981 - hahahahaahahah funny

  • @roadwarrior1981 ^ I cant believe people complain about that comment. its a joke and people should lighten up even if it is half true.

  • @roadwarrior1981 it would be cool if it will be your mother, that fucking fliyn' whore! LOL

  • @roadwarrior1981

    It flies if dies.......lol

  • @roadwarrior1981 lol, come now, it's a good place.

  • This is gonna be a good year in Huron SD. I've seen more pheasants this year than I've seen in 5 years. Can't wait till opener, It's like another holiday.

  • I know SD is pheasant heaven, but I really think we're going to have a good year in Kansas.

  • Man, I was out for youth opener near Sioux Falls, I stepped on a hen and bagged my limit!!!

  • These are not wild birds.

  • october 17... save the date

  • Nice shotting. were i live there is a lot of phesants in jersey channel islands

  • good job love it

  • These look like good birds and its a pity they were not let go a bit and shot at 30 to 40 yards.

If you realy want to try your shill at pheasants you should try driven birds where they come over oak trees on a bank. This gives them time to get maximum speed and come over the guns flat out 30 to 40 yards straight up.

  • gotta love a dog broke to wing and shot...nice video....

  • I AM FROM SOUTH DAKOTA. And i make my own pheasant and eat it. WE probobly have the BEST hunting area in the state. And you STALIOJUNIOUR you cant hit a pheasnat from 40 yards! WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING!

  • y cant ya?? u can easily hit a pheasant from 40 to 60 yrds CodyRRenken!!

  • wtf does eatin ur own cock have anything to do with it? and what are you shooting 410 that you cant shoot 40 yrds. you can shoot birds 40yrds for sure! and by the end of the year ur lucky to get that close they get so jumpy. ...if you havent gathered i am also from south dakota ......and i drive a truck haha

  • I grew up in Chamberlain SD so Im no stranger to great bird hunting.. although killing a WILD rooster is rare from 40 yards My brother shot one at 60 paces( estimated about 50 yards), By far the most amazing shot I ever saw.. It did the death glide for another 100 yards. Yes it can be done but very very rare.

  • Yes it can be done. But, yes, very rare.

  • dats not hunting!! your shooting the birds way too close and all your doin is damagin the bird!! its better shooting if u leave the bird out around 30 to 40 yards!!

  • yeah it's more fun to let um get out a bit, but if your shootin at 40 yards your gonna just hurt em N' they just go off and die somewhere else. waste of a bird. I like hittin um at 20-30. hard shot in the wind (Colorado got plenty uh that) and I don't risk wastin the bird. but yeah their shootin um too close. meats gonna be all tore up.

  • dats y a good springer/retreiver is a good dog to hav!! it adds another aspect to shooting!! i is from ireland and so i well used to shooting with the wind!! ha

  • im eatin pheasant that i shot just yesterday. its pretty good. first hunt that ive ever been on i did a good job to!

  • This is what you consider to be the implication of the 2nd Amendment? ...go shoot some targets or clay pigeons...

  • good video

  • The birds you were shooting there were so low, you should come to england and try shooting birds more than 10 foot of the ground, but was interesting to see how its done in America, how many birds do you get on a normal day over there?

  • Oh they are way higher then 10 feet off the ground. Depends where you go, if you know the right people and spots you can easily get your limit of 3 per person.

  • yeah those birds were pretty low

  • @Groach1234 I was thinking that too, our british shooting is far more challenging, and far more rewarding!

  • i am assuming they stock the feilds with pheasant? or are the pheasant naturally there? because i know that south dakota is the capital for pheasant hunting. i just went pheasant hunting in michigan. i got 8 hens and 7 roosters. but someone respond to this. i want to know if it is stocked or not

  • They are naturally there, certain places are set up so more will be there. You can shoot hens in Michigan? Illegal here....

  • shooting hens in Michigan is illegal...this man is a poacher, unless he went to a farm I still would not shoot a hen on a farm. The population in Mi is so small that shooting a hen is out of the question and illegal

  • I went out for youth season today and had great luck in the Fort-pierre area(we scared no less than 15 roosters, some were skiddy but I got my first today.

  • Fain imi place vanatoare in special de fazani

  • yea i was hunting in nd in november and i missed about 3 roosters but i got 2 birds

  • cool vid.... looks like fun

  • i've heard that north and south dakota are some of the best places to go pheasant hunting.

  • I love pheasant hunting in snow its so good pheasant hunting

  • erm got to say gd shoooting and nice phesants but most of the time the roosters u shot were very low and i never saw your gun broke but lovly shooting and lovly birds but need to be safer

  • lmao...give the bloody birds a chance to fly..any bloser and the barrel would be up its arse!

  • in south dakota its illegal to shoot hens

  • the 2nd bird u shot was an old bird

  • Grouse hunting and pheasent huntin is fun

  • Nice video.. Favortited.. :)

  • lucky you didnt get cought you would have been fined!!!

  • nice shots

  • sweet i just went pheasant hunting today and got 2 roosters and one hen...but the hen was basically HENburger when i was done with it. I hit it at like 28 feet. so yah. i had a great hunt looked like you did to.

  • It is illegal to shoot hens u know...

  • Unless it was on a preserve.

  • in nj you can shoot hens. different states have different laws.
