someone Respond plz? ive heard that the mossberg 500 is good for pheasant and turkey hunting . I just want to know if its a good deal for only around $300. Is it cheap quality?
@AImosTskater44 Yes! The Mossy 500 is a great gun for just about anything that moves, as well as tactical and home defense purposes. I much prefer the 500 (and 835) over most pump shotguns out there mostly due to the safety switch on the tang (where a bird gun should have it) as opposed to it on the trigger guard. I shoot left handed so the tang safety works fine for me. The 835 is the same, but it also takes 3 1/2" rounds, and has a ported and oversized (to 10ga) barrel. still feeds 2/34 fine.
Man this makes me want to go Hunting, it's a shame that i've only had one rooster out of the 3 years ive hunted pheasant (I live in Iowa). But it has to get better sometime right? Good video, wish I could even SEE that make pheasant hahaha
@rasmasyean yes you can chip teeth biting down on a bb. just follow the path of the bb and look for bbs under a bright light, go for quail they are better for you and million times tastier. chukar are better than pheasant also.
pheasants are full uric acid which is very unhealthy for the heart. not worth it when you can buy lean healthy buffalo or osterich. just a stupid culture. getting up early
freezing your ass off, trying to outdo the other small cock bastard
@sndblstr you call shooting your 12 gauge at stupid birds the most fun heh? man you aint been to a massage
parlor have you. i used to hunt big game, upland birds but since i got my first massage i dont have time wasting time, i like the city where women are, in fields there is nothing but rabits, birds and a poor shot beer drinker who wants to out do me below the waste too. no fun friend. i also dont like ricky wardens bothereing me or other strangers asking nosey questions, bla bla hee haw
Why do these PETA guys always have to comment on the hunting, we get it, you don't like the fact that we are human and eat other animals. And they cant dislike it that much if they look it up on youtube
@vels619 Why do you look up hunting videos? Or were you looking up tofu and somehow this just popped up....... We hunter's don't look up Rice Cakes and start bashing your style.
Nice hunting but. I can tell those are stocked (Farm-Raised) birds. Look at the tails on the roosters, they are fucking small. now I've never flushed a wild rooster because before I was born the farmers sprayed a pesticide called DDT, It absolutely killed every single wild pheasant in the area. So we have to hunt stocked birds that run like chickens and you need to step on them to get them flying. needless to say, pheasant hunting here in PA, is not as fun as you would want.
pheasant hunting is great they r so much fun to shoot but it takes some getting use too. i love the sport very much and yet i have never been to little river it looks like a great place to go... now im dying too go there..........ps when hunting pheasant let them get about 20 yards away before u shoot so u dont blow the shit out of them..
hi, im from wales (UK).this walked up shooting looks pretty different to anything i've seen or heard of here, all the shots are taken at straightforward going-away birds and the shooters practically step on the birds before they are flushed... a good terrier would have caught them on the ground. wheres the challenge??? plus the whole place looks flat... it just looks so easy for any half-decent shot
I don't think it has to do with UK vs US just the fact that they are, I am guessing, hunting pen raised birds on a hunting preserve. It is mostly flat in SD, but if you hunt wild birds it's nothing like this. A lot of time, especially in snow when they can hear you coming, the birds get up way in front of you where you don't even have a shot you have a lot more passing shots. It's probably more similar to what you've experienced.
@MrRmk25 depends.. they get cold really fast i have had a chocolate that could out hunt a shorthair anyday best nose ive ever seen and then the yellow lab i have now really good dog still
That shotgun is the superposed one!? That it(he,she) marks? Excellent hunt .. congratulations! Hurt that for my taste, they throw(shoot) him very closely!
Id have to agree I live in nw ok, I make it out to the panhandle about 6 wkends per season good hunting, but still would love to go to S.D. some time.
The good thing about SD is that there is nobody out there to see what you're killing. Happen to kill a rooster, eagle, helicopter, hang glider? If it flies, it dies.
@roadwarrior1981 "If it flies, it dies" --------Now that's about the most ignorant motto ever spoken. What kind of sick fuck r u? I have a warden buddy in SD. Better hope he doesn't nail your dumbass. lol
This is gonna be a good year in Huron SD. I've seen more pheasants this year than I've seen in 5 years. Can't wait till opener, It's like another holiday.
These look like good birds and its a pity they were not let go a bit and shot at 30 to 40 yards.
If you realy want to try your shill at pheasants you should try driven birds where they come over oak trees on a bank. This gives them time to get maximum speed and come over the guns flat out 30 to 40 yards straight up.
