I am presuming the "kill himself" moment comes as a result of the ant accidentally cutting off a piece of leaf he is attached to. Ants wouldnt care because falling from pretty much any height won't kill an ant, both due to their naturally durable anatomy and extremely low "terminal velocity". So falling from any "normal" height (even that of a buildings roof) will not affect them at all unless they may injure a leg, which they can just regrow.
