My girlfriend can easily do these hair styles... This is just embarrassing they call it twirly it's called Victory Rolls, so hilarious how they need to use a curling iron to make the rolls when it can easily be made with just your hands. These girls are pathetic.

girl chill out, using your hands is not the only way to make victory rolls, sometimes using a curling iron helps make it easier to curl it with your hands. it's not pathetic and why does it matter, is there only ONE certain way to make victory rolls? no there isn't.

If you want your victory rolls to STAY in the hair,you do NEED a curling iron,or to put a set in the hair.When has anyone seen victory rolls on straight flat hair?It was never the style,it was always wavy hair,that had been brushed out from a roller set,or curling iron.

They were curling ALL of the hair.You never do victory rolls with straight hair,that was never the style.Congratulations your girlfriend doesn't use a curling iron,no one gives a shit,and look up photos of a true 1940's victory roll,all the hair is curly or wavy,and that's from using a curling iron.You need to have a strong set in the hair if it's going to hold,and you want that volume and wave to it.

my mother who died recently was a 1950s beauty queen ,and the old lady her best friend who lived a couple of houses away was a model in the 1930s in london and they both used to love going through old albums of themselves .
