I honestly thought the Greed Island arc was one of the worst... Then the Chimera Arc was too wordy with too much descriptions but this series is still going strong!! I'm enjoying the current chapters now of Killua facing off with Illumi.

@gammaga If you're going to watch this series, you should watch the remake since that one is following the manga more. However, if I were you, I'd go with the original first to be able to compare it with the remake. Oh, and if you're going to watch this series, I would go to watch the native language. I just find the English dub of this a bit amateur and some voices are not as spot-on. But it's your choice.

@KillingLies1 It wasn't worthless in my opinion.. they actually learned almost everything about nen during the arc. Its shows the complexity of how nen works. Including on what to do and what to train. Worthless isn't a good word to use at all.

@MrNasoor1 Well this goes for everyone not just you but on October 2nd of 2011. A remake of Hunter X Hunter was released. They have the openings and endings for it on youtube already and episode 1 is already out. The animation is of much better quality but im not sure exactly what is different i know that they are following the story of how the first one went....Im suprised it wasn't bigger news...it was all over the anime websites...

@jovibri One of the things i LOVED about Hunter x Hunter is that unlike shows like DBZ, the characters had to rely on their ingenuity to come up with the most intelligent uses of their powers, which are limited by definition.

@archellemae actually naruto did somehow copy HxH, a guy with special eyes whose clan was wiped out (Sasuke=kurapika) and added a little killua flavor(brother issues) the akatsuki are kinda like GR

but the main issue: the exams...both final exams were 1 on 1 and the stage before that was (free zone:limited time:get item from enemy:keep your own item) but HxH's was more detailed and unique :/
