A Romanian or a Brit, wih a last name that ends in "ici?" Sounds more like a Georgian to me.

yes, silvia marcovici was born and lived for a large period in Romania . You can Google the infromation. Today she lives in France.

The terminology that you mentionned, "ici" , is pretty common in Romania. The reason is that, although Romanian is a language of latin heritage, it absorbed a slavic substrat around 600 CE.
