@gayasarafe let me tell u 1thing don't spoil ur life by getting admitted into VIT ... just don't look at the campus playgrounds n all n think wow !! what a place ,next to heaven ...!!! u can ask the inside students n they will tell u that the quality of education is so poor ... n they take more than 40% students thru management quota ... so now u know i hope ......

I tried my level best to get into this one, in 2001.. cudn't... :( finally i cud get a place in SVCE (surprisingly, later I came to know its equally reputed, and no lesser than VIT, BY THEN) :)

Each n every university in the country is setting its own standards based on the intake of its entrance tests....I do remember the day when i appeared before the interview board way back in 2004 for entrance to my PG course & looking back each dept in VIT has developed by leaps n bounds. Its nostalgic to watch the blocks of the hostel where i stayed and the green campus......gud work and equally commendable..

This is one of the worst colleges I have heard about. They do not have an set standards. One of their students committed suicide due to changed rules as he was not allowed to write the exams

Mr. Deepkod, If I were you, I would be very careful about what you say about VIT.... As an alumnus of VIT University, I am very proud to say that it is onee of the best ever places in India to study in... One guy committing suicide becoz of changed rules is one real hell of a story... where did you come across that one..??? Remember, suicides among students occur in all universities... Don't pin-point one university because someone has spoken ill about it.... Go to VIT sumday, then u'll know...

I have applied for VITEEE 2009, but many of my friends did not bcos of very bad remarks abt VIT. I have researched in the internet and found that VIT is just at the brink of meeting American standards! hope i get a place in it!
