Well the electric ones run between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh Waverley. The HSTs run from London to Aberdeen - the Northern end of the route they take to Aberdeen is not electrified. Hence the need for HSTs yey!
If you like Deltics you missed a treat. Actually 2 treats. 55022 'Royal Scots Grey' was operating the North Yorkshireman Railtour from Dundee-Scarborough and I also saw 43110 'Stirlingshire', which is the Valenta HST in this clip.
Its brilliant mate! I give you 5 stars for it! I don't normally go to yorkshire by train because it costs too much from shoeburyness to doncatser. On some ocassions I do, but mainly i use the car. Also, your very lucky to ee some repainted NXEC 91's.
At York station they NO ticket gates @ all

wee20ando08 3 years ago
From where are you travelling from and where to? It all depends! 225s from Edinburgh or Newcastle - London KX, 125s from Aberdeen to Kings Cross.

I know, I was looking forward to the deltic and missing Stirlingshire made it harder!

I can well understand how you feel, but I'm glad I was there. I wonder which set the 125 Group are going to preserve?
TrainBusJaguar 3 years ago
I hope they will preserve 43110/108
