@mEDIUMGap ive completed mechwarrior 4 try to unlockdaishi with 2 /4 heacy guass cannons the rest lasers i do some serious damage to atlas etc :)

i tried this in the city campaign, bloody good fun, took down most things in 1 or 2 shots to the chest, but guranteed to knock 'em on their ass

another thing... if i was in the atlas, i could have chosen a higher ground then fired my first salvo of PPC at your legs then moved sideways then fire another salvo at the same leg, after 2 salvo your leg would be crippled the i could take my time hitting you with individual PPC at alternating intervals... the daishi is slow compared to an atlas, it could have outran you and out maneuvered you... Terrain and loadout are the down points of this video...

that wasn't all that interesting... your a in-fighter so you chose to get in close then fire LBX on their cockpits... nothing new... but if i was fighting an in-fighter with LBX, I'd shoot your legs first then keep at long range... in-fighters are easy picking in this kind of terrain... but if it were urban combat then I would have to agree on your outfit of a daishi... by the way, this configuration is not a "meat grinder" its just a common in-fighter config....

I played around in instant action and fitted a Daishi with 6 RAC2. You can open fire at 900m, so that should take out the "Longbow-problem". Destroyed 5 Atlases before ran out of ammo. Veteran difficulty. The map was the same. Those Atlases are so easy to hit with rotarys. Also that rig dominates in Coliseum Solaris championship with reactice armor layout. For not boating you can switch one RAC to a CLRM20 or two. :)

Notice how much damage you took from long range from the Awesomes (btw the Awesome sucks)? If someone was playing, say, a Longbow outfitted with only Clan LRM's you'd be toast while they twinked you from long range.  That's why I always like playing a Daishi outfitted with 2 Clan Ultra AC120's and 4 ER Large Lasers. Yes it's slow as hell but the large lasers allow you to leg them to slow them down till you can get in range.

@HachiZenki I like a simaler loadout. My prefrence is 1 clan ultra AC-20 and 6 ER large lasers(though heat management is critical for such powerful lasers). 2 solid center hits from all 6 lasers will take out most hevy and assalt Mechs' and criticly damage even the most heavily armored Mechs'.

i miss mechwarrior3 where you could blow a leg off and be done, i did a similar weapon config as this with an annihilator and LB20x's and it was too easy

@starsiegeRoks i dont think that its a bad design... in an urban environment where missiles and large lasers are pointless you would be decimated if you went up against a daishi with that many LBX... it wouldn't need to aim... distance is the main weakness and strength of the LBX, the closer you are the harder it hits... I would challenge anyone post a video showing them standing up to a piloted daishi with this loadout in an urban environment...

OMG those two are a disgrace to the name of awesome pilots. What they should have done is always keep their distance and hide behind mountains (because they're faster) and PPC you as soon as it's clear to shoot. No way that a Daishi is gonna take down two Awesomes with decent human pilots in them.

LOL you really do get great results w/ rear shots, I took a Annihlator w/ 4 LBx20s against a Behemoth II 2, 2 shots in its rear and it was toast lolz
