@thomascolin12 the shoes are a big deal, i mean don't buy the big gigantic ones but not even too light ones. i just choose the ones with protections on where they ruin most, and i always go with Vans(it's the most comfortable for my skating style).

for the board..we usually start with 7.5/7.75 'cause they're lighter but then almost everyone moves to 8" 'cause you have more space to land tricks, and yet your feet excedes the board(if you're not a midget)
