@psyche027 ya i think so, but you would step out in front of your self and spin to the right instead of to the left, basically you are transferring to your free leg and spinning in the same direction as the hoop so it should be possible!
The hoop that you're using, is it a weighted [fitness] hoop? If so, how much does it weight, and where did you buy it? GREAT tutorial by the way! Very clear and thorough explanations!
@MiSSloveish The hoop im using here is a hoop dancing hoop, its about 35 inches in diameter made with 3/4 inch tubing from the states. (the black stuff) it doesn't weigh much but if you are just starting i would recommend learning with something a little bigger and heaver but not one of those 5 lb fitness hoop (just tooooo heavy). I made it myself, you can find instructions on line but you can also find someone in your area that is making them who could recommend the right size for you.
i hoop to the right (different direction than most, and i have NO idea why because i am right handed). so it is more comfortable for me to hoop off of my left leg and take my right leg out of the hoop. i haven't been able to do this trick yet, i will let you know if i make any type of progress on it
could you do some behind the back passing tutorials like the one you do after your one leg hoop trick? i'm just starting and can't find many basic behind the back pass hooping tutorials. thank thank thank you!!!!
@babzrobinson if i lived in a place like that i don't think i'd ever go inside. illinois is so flat and boring i can't wait to move out west those rockies are gorgeous!
Can this move be done going your same direction but using your other leg to hoop on?? or would that make it more difficult?? any advice appreciated. Mahalo!!
@orbitress hmmm good question, ive never tried it but its possible. as long as you step down on your right leg as soon as the hoop passes underneath it and start spinning right away. i think the balance might be a bit tricky.
@babzrobinson Yep, balance a problem for sure, figured this move out yesterday just as you demo'd it. I was just being lazy 'bout learning to hoop on my right leg, but now I can !! Thanks for taking the time to post your tutorials, truly appreciated!!
