The whole purpose of the vid is to show a stock on stock demonstration of the perfomance of the R32 and the F1, if both cars were tuned, it defeats the purpose of the test
if the skyline can have 1000hp so can the mclaren. All it needs is a turbo. And then it will whoop all opposition including CCXR, SSC aero, Veyron SS, ...Ultra tuned supra,you name it.
This is a comaprative race, to show how fast a mclaren f1 really is! The two cars are in totally oposite categories, the skyline is a normal every day car, as the mclaren is a legend, a supercar!
FYI: The "really fast car" is a Nissan Skyline GT-R R33. Of course its going to be slower then a Mclaren F1. There are only maybe 2 or 3 production cars that can beat it.

Just to remember the maclaren is 15 years old(in order to compare with the bugatti) and it is a stock engine just like the skiline. The racing version of the F1 does 2.9 sec. 0-60.
A twin turbo comes on that skyline stock dork, it takes more than that to reach the power of the formula one engine with a go kart built around it that is the McLaren F1.

I love reading these retarded comments. I have the R34 GTR which is much lighter than the R33 and it is still a heavy ass car. You say a Skyline can be modded to beat the McLaren but thats trivial BS. The guy in the McLaren has more money than you and can therefore mod his F1 even more and you still end up losing. Anything can be tuned to beat anything els, but the only true comparison is stock vs stock because the better car can be tuned as well, and it has 12 cylinders to boot.

McLaren is a superior engineered car designed by an automotive genious. Most people who by an F1 aren't planning on bangin out anymore power from it. Its already fast as hell stock. F1 owners are more about appreciating the engineering of the car. Skylines are a little easier on the eyes and can be tuned to out-perform an F1 but when are you ever gonna see an F1 on someone drag-strip racing a Skyline...

I love reading these retarded comments. I have the R34 GTR which is much lighter than the R33 and it is still a heavy ass car. You say a Skyline can be modded to beat the McLaren but thats trivial BS. The guy in the McLaren has more money than you and can therefore mod his F1 even more and you still end up losing. Anything can be tuned to beat anything els, but the only true comparison is stock vs stock because the better car can be tuned as well, and it has 12 cylinders to boot.

and what you get for 900k is the greatest piece of automotive engineering ever created, but yes a skyline is a better investment, and yeah people go wow you own a skyline, but people lose control of they're bowels when they find out you own a Mclaren F1, and skylines are just too common, there are only (i think) 99 Mclaren F1s (mr. bean put his into the side of a bus)

You're comparing a car that goes for 70 grand, and a McLaren F1, which goes for about 895,000 dollars. Yes, I love how you can compare the 2. Now if you tuned that R33, it would be able to beat that McLaren F1. A stock F1 has an 11.6 second quarter mile. An R-34 Skyline has 14.1. So 700k dollars more for a car that is only 3 seconds faster? And when modded, Skylines can be a quarter of the price of an F1, and be faster. gg

McLaren is a superior engineered car designed by an automotive genious. Most people who by an F1 aren't planning on bangin out anymore power from it. Its already fast as hell stock. F1 owners are more about appreciating the engineering of the car. Skylines are a little easier on the eyes and can be tuned to out-perform an F1 but when are you ever gonna see an F1 on someone drag-strip racing a Skyline...

Mclaren is also quite an ugly car, a '99 Skyline R34 costs a lot less and is beautiful! Veyron may be a lot faster but how often are you really gonna go up to 250mph or whatever it goes to... are you really gonna go more than 100ish if you are just on general roads? If anything if I had a mclaren or a veyron, i would go slower than with an R34!!

...The RB26DETT has the greatest potential. With minor upgrades you can attain that amount of hp. And the fact that the F1 costs way more than the Skyline, and the Skyline will last more than 150k miles, I'd say the choice is pretty clear. And a *stock* F1 runs what an 11 second quarter mile, while a stock Skyline goes around 13, considering the price difference, it's famazing.

Why not tune both cars 50 gazillion horsepower? Because the engine blocks would blow, everything would fry. The RB26DETT has great potential to reach ~1000 hp on stock internals. The F1, I can't really say that.
