I taught myself this on the piano, and was always going to make a cover of it. Never got round to it, because I knew I couldn't make it as good as this. The film makes my list of top ten movies methinks, along with The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. I had a lump in my throat while watching Cast Away though, even after watching it five times!
Nothing ever makes me cry... Sad movies or songs never make me cry. But something about this music reachs into my soul. I know I shouldin't cry over anything but dammnit, this is a beautiful piece of music! Amazing music amazing music.

This song makes me think of the love in the movie, and then slowly my heart wonders to a place that is no more, making me wish it was still there, hoping that one day i'll choose to grasp what i believe in, no more fear, no more distance, and no more boundries. I'll always love you, even though you may no longer love me, but that's not what it's about, there's no point to it, there's no summing it up in a paragraph, there's just love.

@onlylexus If you suffer, you are doing something wrong. Noone is supposed to suffer, or bear all the pain of the world. You have to get up, out, and get aggressive, that will heal the suffering. What do you want, really want ? Life is a cake of which everybody wants a piece. CLAIM YOURS ! And make it a BIG piece !

Losing wilson his pal. I write as though I was experiencing those things myself. His solitude brought him wisdom. Finally, the ost, so wonderful in peace.
@onlylexus I like your post. Castaway, definately mirrors the sound of my soul. I have a inner child, a dolphin, a creature of light, whose song and voice I rarely hear now, that I am an adult. His voice was thriving and vibrant when I was a child. I had no fear of dark or of strangers. I would just walk up to people and introduce myself.

I love the cosmic scene in the end where he meets the woman who the package was addressed to. God was in the whole thing in the long run.
