  • ROBYN IS A HEROINE!

  • This woman is on a similar journey as I am. I am so grateful for her wonderful knowledge, speaking abilities, and love that is fueling her desire to spread this true and life saving message to her country. God bless her and her family.

  • Wow, Skeletor needs to have a sandwich herself! And find something to do with your hands when you talk. It looks like an SNL skit. Maybe wear something with pockets and put your hands in them.

  • I agree with a lot of what she is saying. She is worried about her food supply. Is she worried about skin cancer? She seriously needs to lay off the tanning. If her skin is already that leathery and wrinkled, I can only imagine how much sun exposure she has had. And look how tan she is. Lay off the tanning, lady.

  • @shandi411 THAT is what you have to say to the information she is making available??? REALLY?

  • we need to stop buying these foods

  • @jhldsc Wow!! Thank You so much for you enlightening contribution. How long did it take you to form such a thought provoking take on things? You have the answer and went ahead and laid it out for free on YouTube. Ha-Lay-Fucking Eulia!!! Our Savior!!

Hey everybody,JNLDSC just came up with a fucking solution to rid the World of sickness.

You need to stop eating; period. That will help everyone immensely.

  • Alexandra O'Brien I truly want you to know I too believe you have an AMAZING mom. I thank her for sharing this valuable information it has been life changing for me. So for those who have hit the dislike button that is few & far between for those of us who not only like this video but love & appreciate the your mom for sharing this information with the rest of us.

  • How can she prove any of this? Here's the message that she is trying to get across. "My kids got sick;that's bad. Big Companies that do well financially are also bad. I need to blame someone. I will watch a movie called Erin Brockovich. I now have my inspiration!!! Yay!!"

"I have Skin Cancer from going out in the Sun unprotected. I will watch Erin Brockovich (again) Now I will now sue Target for not putting long sleeves on all their clothing."

  • @3offtlevinson I dont know if she can prove it,but i'll share my own experience and you decide for yourself. Im 30 years old born and raised in Europe,at age of 24 i came to live in USA. For those 24 years i was back in Europe i've never seen, meet or heard of even friend of a friend to have a food allergies. We learned that food allergies exist from the american movies. Ppl allergic to nuts, milk and etc..And i was thinking HOW a mammal can be allergic to milk..thats like a lion allergic to flesh

  • @3offtlevinson She is pointing you in the direction to begin educating yourself about the food supply. It's more than trying to place blame. It's about figuring out why we're in the current situation we find ourselves in and how we can create change.

The USA is a corporation and you are a byproduct: consumer. They do not care if they are poisoning you. Your lack of education and consumer mentality are profitable. And so is your sickness (mental, physical, spiritual). Educate yourself, fool.

  • @thirdeyeactivist Listen Cunt; who in the Fuck are you calling a fool?

I am the one trying to educate myself you Fucking Retard. I'm just not going to believe every Internet Crusader who's biggest Fan is her 8 year old Kid and a Bunch of "Activists" who are willing to be lead down The Garden Path.

Did you notice that all the Food Allergies started when Greenpeace started Polluting our pristine waters with their unmaintained boats? HUH??

If the USA is that bad;then get the FUCK OUT!!!

  • @3offtlevinson Yikes. *Tantrum via mouth vomit over here.* It's unfortunate that there are so many who are making personal derisions instead of just realizing that, yeah, you are very unaware of what's out there. It's scary, huh? To wake up and realize that you've been duped into a system and you're just another mindless player. I would probably use futile profanity too if I was in such an unconscious state. ...But I'm not. Wake up, kid.

  • @3offtlevinson WOW these reactions are really amazing....this woman is giving you information that is very KNOWN to be factual.....if you don't like it don't listen but showing your nastiness is really ridiculous

  • STOP TANNING

  • Alexandra, your mom did a great job with this talk, and made this subject more understandable and informative for the general public. This video should get spread around more.

  • All those who "dislike" this video work for toxic evil Monsanto, FDA, EPA, RDA or USDA who are employed by Ex-Monsanto now allowed to work for US government. Thats our how effed up USA government is now.. They are only looking out for their wallet, NOT our health and safety

  • Robyn I greatly appreciate you sharing the information about how messed up our food chain is due to corporations, however I wish that the conclusion had more concrete and clear steps for us to take.

  • @edgard00 just research & read more books.on your own.. research Monsanto and their connection to FDA, EPA, RDA, USDA watch fast food nation, food matters, future of food, forks over knives documentaries. you will learn more on your own will blow you away how corrupt our government really is

  • @crosswind76 Thank you Crosswind for the references, i'm actually familiar with many of them and you're so right it's really sad and depressing how much the government allowed private companies to dictate food regulations.

  • God bless this woman.

I've cut out a lot of food from my list.

I've been able to lose 50 lbs.

    But now ima go organic.

The food industry is atrocious here in USA.

I would like to support this cause.

  • Here is a list of movies we all should watch:

    Food Matters

    Food Inc.

    Cut Poison Burn

    Dying to Have Known

  • The annoying thing is that USA has been trying, and partly succeeded, to push it's crap-food in other countries too pretty much by force, much like SOPA and ACTA. The country is so dogmatic and gullible politicians there can get away with anything as long as they claim to have faith, compliment how "smart" their voters are, and appeal to patriotism. Wake up! They only care for money! Except Ron Paul.

Annoying how much power it has in other countries where people have no vote in it's policy.

  • The video was basically about her figuring out what's going on with Monsanto and GE foods by reading on the internet. Good job and welcome onboard, but she's not a very impressive alarmist.

  • @Raxarax But, she's REAL and down to earth. People are tired of hippie dramatic alarmists. She's real who saw symptoms in her kids that triggered her wanting to heal them with PREVENTION rather than DRUGS. She found one source. I encourage others to do the same and read labels on everything you put ON and IN your body.

  • @crosswind76 Ya, so what if she's real? Her story isn't one of setting up organizations to spread the word or showing us new research to back up the argument against Monsanto or GE foods or really doing anything about it.

No, her story is that she didnt believe, her kids got sick, she got on the internet and realized that GE and Monsanto might actually be bad and no one cares, and then she emailed Erin Brockavich... the end. Wow, earth shattering... hey should retitle it "mom discovers internet"

  • But hussein's giant gov't policy sends federal agents to take away children's lunches and replace them with mcnuggets to protect junk food school contracts (see N.C.). Who was prezzy in the 90s? Clinton, in bed with walmart and tyson and awarding them no-bid contracts, remember? Yay, liberal policy. Boo health.

  • "I now say that the world has the technology to feed on a sustainable basis a population of 10 billion people. The more pertinent question today is whether farmers and ranchers will be permitted to use this new technology? While the affluent nations can certainly afford to adopt ultra low-risk positions, and pay more for food produced by the so-called 'organic' methods, the one billion chronically undernourished people of the low income, food-deficit nations cannot." Dr. Norman Borlaug

  • Mrs. O'brien's appeal is rather heavy on emotion and thin on data. The US is not leading the world in cancer but if she and her fawning audience think it is, so be it. It's too bad that Dr. Norman Borlaug isn't alive to deliver a rebuttal. He's the father of GMO and spend 50 yrs in Mexico, Pakistan and India increasing crop yields and is credited with saving 1 billion lives and won a Nobel Prize for it.

  • Too bad indeed for then he would be the one resposible for all the Indian farmers who are killing themselves becaue their crops HAVE FAILED!!. It has not yielded more crops- it has produced more death. GMO foods have genes in them that are laden with pesticides and other toxins. Do your research.

  • @koobrick1 where is your reference data? You blast incorrect data without providing any...

  • @Pook500 I have farmed cotton for many years from soil in a climatic zone suitable for it's needs. Cotton is not a food. My current yield per acre is double what it was in the 50's. My data consists of my own scrupulous records kept over the years. My success is due in large part to the efforts of agriculture scientists at my state's university. I appreciate the fact subsistence farming has a charming and nostalgic appeal for urban dwellers but it's gone forever, I hope. Too many people.

  • Goverment is supposed to protect the people... But Corporations own the US government.

    Anybody see the problem here.

  • @DocSolomon Ya, you're the problem, and so am I. Government is supposed to protect the people, but it only works when people are active in government and politics. What has happened is that the American people have become apathetic and dropped the ball, then corporations came in and picked it up and ran with it and instead of the American people fighting back we've developed a "there's nothing I can do" attitude and went and sulked, then played xbox and watched some American Idol before bed.

  • @Raxarax I'm not American (thank God), but yea....

  • You should watch "Food Inc."

  • Everyone ate PB&J sandwiches and drank milk with it when I was a kid --- probably more than once/week. Nobody got sick from them. Now, schools won't allow any snacks past their doors that have any peanuts in them. That is the canary in the coal mine.

  • @fabmd8 1. i was trying to help you.

    2. that's because we know more about allergens than ever. there's still the same vast minority that peanuts never will affect. this is in response to your second comment

  • I've always thought "slick willie" - but, what are we going to learn decades from now?! NAFTA, elected officals, FDA, Bill Gates - they're all in this together. It's outrageous - they say it's a means to "keep population down" - what!? Sterilization - outsourcing foods to 3rd world famine-ridden countries in the name of LOVE.

  • Robyn's talk seems to validate Food Inc. (the movie)

  • Over the last 5 years, I've developed a pretty severe reaction to corn products - especially dried corn and corn oil, though in truth, i've suffered from the affects of corn since the early 90's. Having watched this video, it makes me wonder if i'm really allergic to the 'corn engineered to be its own insecticide.'

Bring back the '80's! Corn, that is. I miss my grits!!! Maybe I can find organic grits :) Let's all start paying that extra $1 for organic eggs and milk!

  • This is one of the most brilliant videos ever and I am very thankful for watching. I'm 35 and one year ago realized what damage our government is doing to us at our expense. To those that don't believe, you need to open your eyes.

  • @jimshoe121 Yeah I'm in my 30's now to and the effects of the contaminated food supply is showing up now.

  • Aha! I just KNEW the Sprite I had in Athens tasted different than what I drink over here in the U.S.! Good to know I'm not crazy. Or... is it? :-(

  • I shared this but NO ONE watched it because of the words 'real food evangelist' in the description.

  • What a great video. It really hit home to me because recently, we found that both of our kids have food allergies, and one so severe that he went into anaphylaxis after eating a tree nut. Neither my husband or I have food allergies, and now after watching this I finally understand why so many children, including ours, have food allergies. Thank for making this video and sharing the knowledge you have learned so that we can make better choices in what we put into our bodies.

  • 10. Uh oh, you just ruined your credibility again ma'am, by bringing up healthcare. Not only have you blamed disease almost solely on something you have no logical argument for, but you expect us to believe that the spending reflects our overall health more than the government's policies.

  • @DRKVideoProductions um... your argument shows you have done little research.

  • is not blocked by roundup, and therefore is like having a plant that was never exposed to roundup in the first place.

    7. The next thing she discusses is corn GM'ed to make an insecticide. The alternative to this is simply spraying an insecticide. It's the same thing whether you do one or the other, and one must be done.

    8. Playing the mommy card again.

    9. Here comes the only evidence that's correct- GM crops are less expensive to produce. Well duh. That's why we need to make them more.

  • tells us that 9/10 cases of breast cancer are environmentally triggered and that this is clearly linked to genetically modified food, somehow. And that BT food is clearly the biggest cancer risk in the US.

    6. Now she moves to soy. What she's trying to talk about here is "roundup ready" crops. To understand this one must understand how roundup works- it kills plants by blocking a necessary enzyme. Roundup ready crops just have a different enzyme, that is similar, and does the same thing, but

  • @DRKVideoProductions You might try reading anything by Michael Pollan, and doing some actual research.

  • Comment removed

  • can drink it, BT or not.

    3. The woman then swiftly transitions this argument to cancer. I followed along with it until I rewatched the video and payed attention to the "transition," which there really was none, other than that America has high rates of cancer as well. Other than "this hormone is linked to this hormone, which is linked to cancer-causing hormones, if you're the one eating the hormone."

    4. At this point I'm loling at my own gullibility.

    5. She then, after playing emotional cards,

  • @DRKVideoProductions once again, try doing some real research.

  • Okay, let me help you guys understand this in a better light.

    1. First, this woman tells us that the increase in food allergies parallels increase of BT crops. Everyone knows correlation does not imply causation.

    2. In addition to that, the only hard evidence she gave for this was the milk allergy, which is specifically caused by lactose intolerance. Milk allergens are actually way lower in the US than most Asian countries. Add to that, that if you add lactase to milk, people with allergens

  • @DRKVideoProductions do you have any kids with gluten intolerance? I do. Try doing some real research.

  • @dkmarts Ahaha, wait. I've done little research? Honey, you don't know who you're talking to, and I don't see any evidence that my argument is wrong. You think gluten intolerance is caused by genetic modification of your food? You're sadly mistaken. Glutens are natural in grains, and many people have minor gluten allergens. Regardless of whether you're eating natural grain or genetically modified, it's there. And if it's not grain, then people are adding it in, but not genetically.

  • @DRKVideoProductions So, go eat the crap and leave us alone already.

  • We're all going to die!!!!! Oh wait .... We're all going to be sick!!!! oh wait.... We all get exactly what we deserve. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

  • Minute Maid Orange Juice, anyone??? just sayin'

  • echosyst, please source your claim that the US DOESNT have the highest rate of cancer in the world. Norway, Japan, UK, Germany, Switzerland, are not third world countries, and have some of the highest medical technology in the world.your "science" doesn't fly.there are MULTIPLE studies at the NIH and MEDSCAPE indicating amniotic fluid analysis over time.more than 100 different pesticides were found present in the amniotic fluid of pregnant women in the US. How do you explain this phenomenon?

  • Capitalism is evil.

  • Not enough science to impress. First off, the US does not have the highest cancer rates in the world. Secondly, many higher income countries have higher cancer rates to go with it. Lifestyle choices and health habits are a major factor. The fact we can detect cancer better here is a factor too. You can't just make the assumption that Frankenfood is the cause.

  • She says awesome stuff about food. She needs to also stay away from the sun, or wear sun screen daily. Her poor skin :(

She sounds like the parents who go on a witch hunt to find a cause for their kids Autism in vaccines for example.

As for her theories on what is increasing allergies, I disagree. I subscribe personally to the Hygiene Hypothesis on the dramatic rates of allergies in general in 1st world countries vs 3rd world countries.

  • God bless this lady.

  • This gal has delivered one of the finest presentations I have yet seen on TED, and that is saying something. She really cares about this problem, she has done some homework, and she is laying it out there for folks to take a look. Until the common folks of America wake up to what is going on, we will continue to be plagued with health problems. Each of us has to take responsibility for ourselves, swimming upstream, because the authorities have sold us out, unfortunately.

  • wow. this is right on. a step that i am taking to ensure something better for my daughter is to grow all our own food using aquaponics and other alternative food growing methods at our eco-village blueprint for sustainable civilization called One Community. i'm grateful to be participating in something different, but hoping that the rest of the country will be similarly motivated to make a change.

  • Do something.... Well, I can start by licking this video so that it becomes popular, and other videos similar to this as well...you can start by licking this comment so that people can do the same

  • @jercun33 Licking? Surely you mean liking?

  • Yea Robyn! Thanks for your voice!

Time to put people over profits! We could use a more conscious "loving" approach to our health. That starts with caring for the plants and animals we need to eat; is it going to be junk in, junk out, or... It's about an attitude change and I believe is part of the heart of the 99% movement. I believe humans are "waking up" and saying "oh, ok, time to shift us towards a better direction."

  • ELIMINATE the AGRICULTURAL PRICE SUPPORTS. The FEMALE HORMONES injected into BEEF AND DAIRY CATTLE add 200 lbs to their weight-increasing profits. These HORMONES ALONG with FEMALE HORMONES from women who take THE PILL, are released by both in their URINE into "SURFACE WATER," which CANNOT BE ELIMINATED, while EXPOSING the PUBLIC who drink water, to this devastation resulting in ALL the DISEASES outlined in this video

  • that fact that cancer has tripled since adding ge food is enoug proof for me .

  • @egyptiankitten Or maybe the cancer rates are due to the general lifestyle of american people.

  • Please check out my videos whats with gmos gmos part two diabeties and update 3 please get in touch with me.

  • i remember when she took her business trip to Austin and me and daddy watched her do her talk. she is so enspiring, and she is such a smart, amazing mom. i am so lucky to have her... and you are all right, people shouldn't dislike the video because that's just disliking valuabe information... it's the truth, and if they dislike the truth about our food, then they can talk to Monsanto.

my name is Alexandra O'Brien, and i am Robyn's daughter. Thank you so much for supporting my mama. :)

  • @lexymeow0225 Your mom is an inspiring woman but misses one big point....corporations whose profit models have no accountablity to the consequences of their products own the government through lobby funding elected officials.....

  • @jacopman My guess is that she knew, but was couching her terms carefully. The food industry apparently can sue you for libel if you state your opinion, e.g.Oprah and burgers. So, not only are they stealing our health, but they are robbing us of the right to free speech.

  • our government dosnt care about us

  • lets make the corporations eat and drink these products and feed it to their families before releasing it to the public. If they are happy to do that then i'll believe these products are safe.

i've seen video's of the poor cattle who have health defects because they are injected with growth hormones. Basically living a life of hell because farmers are so dumb and putting profits before anything.

  • wow

  • 6:20---on is a Hum Dinger!

  • I developed food allergies in the 80's. She said the food started being modified in the 90's. What were my allergies caused by, then?

  • Touchy-feely garbage is nowhere near as convincing as actual information. With such an important topic, wouldn't it be more helpful to share facts instead of emotional motherly anecdotes? This sort of vague coverage of the problem does little more than encourage the crazy lovers of fringe food politics. Yes, stuff is bad, but just rehashing the same tired, generic arguments helps no one advance the discussion. Where's the science? "No one has tested if this is safe" means nothing!

  • @sarcasmosis I agree: The "no one has tested this as safe" argument is trying to prove a negative. You can run 100s of studies that don't find a problem until one study does. The answer O'Brien ignores is that no one has proven it unsafe either. There is no such thing as proving something safe because every day is another opportunity to test it differently.

  • GMO is BANNED in Germany, and other European countries ... no wonder that Germans are healthier, and the economy is way stronger .... avoiding gimmicks and quick fixes has something to do with it!

  • yes, 'dislikes' are unthinkable in regard to such valuable information! But there are demons out there, too, otherwise the ignorance would not be running that deep in our world!

  • None of this surprises me about America. As long as big business makes a buck out of slowly poisoning the public to death... well that's where the money is. And if you want to regulate it? Well we wouldn't want big government constraining the creative power of free capitalism, would we? So they talk all this nonsense while they're eating... poison.

  • Go Robyn! We are behind you. Please check out Kathy Freston's book, Veganist and also the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and the extraordinary documentary film, Forks over Knives. forks over knives dot com (no spaces) You're not alone out here!

  • Great talk. Glad to see another vocal person in the food movement. The only thing she needs to do more research on is the American Cancer Society. It is sickening how they take billions of dollars in donations for "research". When it is ran/supported by the Pharm. industry. If they found a cure then they would be screwed! The FOOD & PHARM corps have us in a sick pattern. Feed us crap so we get sick and need drugs. Wake up people!

  • Monsanto is the primary cause of GMO foods. Soy is 100% GMO, Corn is 100% GMO, Canola is 100% GMO. now those are the top 3 foods world wide.

    wiki/Monsanto

  • Plant trees, plant plants, and attract life with thy inner selfs. Use your hands, be conscious, or die over a food holocaust, under the threat of fire power, dressed in brutal uniforms.

  • See: Overworked & Under Spray

Kids as young as 10 working the NC crop fields.

Many towns in Maine have gone pesticide-free. Towns in Australia have banned bottled water, whole states have banned plastic bags.

We need to demand our right to eat healthy foods before it's too late. Before biotech owns the food and us.

  • A-mazing! Love this chick!

  • @snowwhitesapple haha! guess what she is my mom :)

thank you all of you for supporting her

  • Genius... keep Americans sick and then you can charge them an arm and a leg to heal them by simply giving them a chemical to neutralize the chemical they gave us in our food. All in the name of greed and power. Just make sure you pay off the right people in congress or the house of cards will fall.

  • check out Jeffrey Smith, author of Seeds Of Deception

  • How Many of these chemicals are required by laws and regulations? We have so much to UNDO in the over -regulation of every industry.

  • @scismgenie

None. Do some, no, ANY research before you start talking, and you'll realize how silly that post was.

  • A very courageous young woman!

Perhaps the US-citizens are ready to learn something.

  • omg shes smart, has great points, but holy fuck her face scares me >.<

  • omg shes smart, has great points, but holy fuck her face scares me >.<

  • @antonshvets the awareness and sensibility indicated by your comment scares me. It doesn't matter what your face looks like, dear, you appear to have something really ugly inside of you. Yuck!

  • This is a great video. I can't believe some people actually gave a thumbs down. I've learned so much within the last five years about what real foods are. This needs to be stopped. Food allergies are on the rise and it has everything to do with genetically modified organisms in our foods. When are people going to wake up and take control of their health? These companies are fully aware of the dangers of GE foods and that is the reason why they don't want foods to be labeled as GMO. Wake up.

  • There is a tremendous amount of mis-information here. She isn't a scientist so every correlation looks like causation to her. There are hundreds of scientists baffled by these issues and she is going to come in from left field, with no scientific background, and solve this mystery with a back of an envelope analysis in two seconds. This is just like Jenny McCarthy's autism mother's intuition analysis.

  • @steve70638 Mother's intuition got us all through to this point in history...you don't have to know exactly why something is bad,to know it is bad!

  • @OccupyPsyche Mother's intuition got us to the industrial revolution where life expectancy was about 40 years and infant mortality rate was probably 10 times or more what it is today.

  • @steve70638 Very true. However, there is no downside to encouraging a diet that sustained us for thousands of years without benefit of added hormones, antibiotics, or weed resistant chemicals. There is no downside to encouraging a return to natural foods and sustainable agricultural practices. BGH, for one instance, has been banned from just about every country for good cause. It's not necessary, and may be actually dangerous.

  • I love how she is so determined. It really does open your eyes! I want to be part of her quest. I know I don't eat meat, but now I don't want any milk, corn or soy. Our country needs more regulations that other countries have. I am disappointed in our country's food industry.

  • Eat healthy..less junk food.

Live a good life for your families future.

  • Bravo! Don't forget about our water! Many European countries banned the addition of fluoride to drinking water, yet we import it from them. We ingest what they have deemed their "toxic waste" and people here don't give it a second thought.

  • Robyn is railing against people who are addicted to murder.

  • Does anyone have a link to the info about the European scientist who ran an experiment on lab rats? He changed their feed to 100% GMO food and they all died within a month? Also, there's another study somewhere about mice or rats getting a mainly GMO diet and their offspring could not have babies (or it could have been their offspring's offspring). Someone, please send me those studies.

  • @fabmd8 google Arpad Pusztai

  • @jjsrod - yes, chemicals are in us and we do eat them in natural foods as well as processed. The problem is that the processed food is filled with preservatives and additives that are harming us! That's why companies have processed or manufactured food that has a shelf life of a year or two versus a month without all the crap. The amount of allergies and cancer that is in our current society is unbelievable...we must get back to basics and hold companies accountable for what they sell us...

  • @cmkalm Just like the tobacco companies!

  • @jjsrod Yes, chemicals are in our body, yes the natural foods we eat have chemicals in them...the difference is that processed foods are chock full of preservatives and additives that weren't used previously, cows shot up with hormones, chemicals that are KNOWN hazards are in our foods now (BHT, BTHQ, etc.) Our country (especially the poor and needy) consumes the majority of CRAP food. Our food has been altered and it is causing a major disaster now...please educate yourself.

  • I totally think she is on to something. Does anyone know if the countries who avoided the GMO corn have a lot less cases of corn allergy than in the US? Ditto for soy and wheat? I mean, that would be the proof for me pertaining to the possible GMO-allergy link.

  • oh please

  • My youngest child developed an egg allergy as a baby (I never fed him ANY eggs- they are added to lots of baby food) that caused him to stop growing (for almost a year). His immune system attacked his esophogus! This is a NEW thing. Food allergies were rare when we were growing up. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to buy ALL organic, but I buy what I can. Also, I don't make my kids drink milk. Milk is the perfect food for baby cows. Bravo Robyn!

  • The United States does NOT have the highest rate of cancer in the world. Just google.

  • I agree full heartedly. I just hope more people wake up and smell the organic coffee.

  • Wonderful job Robyn. So glad to have you on the creating Healthy Ripple team!

    Tara Rayburn

    The Healthy Habit Coach

  • That's right, we're engineered through our food for big pharma and the cancer industry = reality check..

  • you dont see allergies in ANY OTHER COUNTRY in the world except for us here in the good ol US of A..... if you were to be in brasil and u go to a restauraunt and tell them you have a shellfish allergy they would laugh..... half of this shit is in our head

  • You dont see people in wheel chairs because they are FAT in any other country except in the united states... i love this country but seriously people... we are poisening ourself.... just watch what you eat

  • Correlation isn't causation. "A" happens, then "B" happens, and she assumes that "A" causes "B". Not good science, not good thinking.

  • Anyone who denies what she is saying has been duped by Corporate agenda advertising. If you listen CAREFULLY she does indeed make the connection between health care spending and the rise of allergies, and the rise of GMO. You need to LISTEN, not react defensively!! Robyn is not the first one to make these connections. This is not news, but she presents it very well. I hope she makes a bundle of money and the word is spread. GMOs are poisoning us!

  • It makes me sad that this problem will be solved so slowly due to the overwhelming amount of people that will take the easy road out and say "gee that sucks, well hopefully I dont get sick" and then go on their same shopping trip and not make any changes because it's just easier. I definately will be sharing this video with a lot of people and also start at least thinking more about what I consume and support.

  • i cant believe the most Thumbs up'ed comment is complete misinformation

  • Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug, created a GMO(genetically modified organism) wheat varietal that doubled it's yield. He's been credited for saving a billion(with a B) people. Anyone else you know come close to this?

  • the corn bit was shocking,if gmo causes adhd, and other problems, it makes me want to gut these companys, ive got a freind whos very sick right now, because of this poison gmo=evil...

  • Big Food goes hand in hand with Big Pharma. Its all about Big Business for the Wall Street gang who's motto has always been: PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE.

The typical diet regimen in America is simply SAD. STANDARD AMERICAN DIET

Standard could well be changed to STALE.

    Americans are overfed and undernourished.

"Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people." Henry Kissinger...

  • Here's capitalism for ya....money at the expense of lives. What a novel idea!

  • This is AWESOME! GMO and FOOD DO NOT equal. We as Americans need to stand up and let others know that we don't want our food supply to be messed with. We worry about animals becomig extinct, we should starting wondering if humans will become extinct.

  • gjack80. my you sound SO scientific. Can you not converse in a calm manor?

She is right on or have you all not noticed ALL the things she is talking about? There is only one thing going on here. Greed. Money into pockets at the expense of the human population. Sadly growing your own IS the best way out but most people cannot and "we the people" seem to have trouble getting OUR government to care if we live or die. SO buy organic. Pay the money upfront or at the hospital.

    Europe made it happen.

  • Yeah gjack80, you're acomin' off like a real scientist. Jussayin'. Jackass. Perhaps you should write up a grant in an effort to secure the funding to study your own emotional reaction to all this.

  • @wibrilify Hey CIA dude! Back into your hole - mole! It's not groundhog day yet !

  • @largraf Nothing on topic then? Glad to see your knickers in such a twist bub.

  • she really is great --- at being a cold calculated business person....using her kids and parents' emotions to sell books and advance her career.......

  • as a scientist, i am so ANGRY at this idiotic woman....all the conclusions she is making are WRONG!!! stupid dumb bitch making a buck by driving paranoia

  • @gjack80 And your explanation of the rise in allergies and cancer is what ..?

Your explanation that America, as the richest nation on earth is way short on longevity and way high on obesity is what?

  • Where are the healthiest publically available mass produced foods?

Also is there an actual standard for "organic"?

Also is it feasable irrespective of cost to make healthy food for all the people today? Future negative population growth is a mathematical inetivability, will it be the food (through famine) or more likely through fatness which will kill up before we can use nuclear weapons to do the job?

  • The most important issue that O'Brien fails to address in this video is that growing food the way she prefers is more expensive. Rail against "greedy corporations" all that you want, but the increased cost WILL be passed on to consumers. O'Brien needs to explain how her proposals will affect the worst-off among us. Sub-optimal food is better than no food, after all.

  • @kvcontino I guess you didn't understand the graphs that showed that we do pay the "savings" for this frankenfoods in our health care costs.

  • @kvcontino My friend, if the only veggies you can get are frankenveggies, what then? Have you seen "The world according to monsanto" OR "The future of Food"? We're going to have to grow our own if we want healthy foods b/c big agribusiness is determined to dominate our food supply. Cheers.

  • Once I saw our pets being poisoned (via dog food) and other means, and I discovered how healthy other countries are, I realized that this was a deliberate effort to damage to life in the U.S. Our food supply and our economy have been attacked, and nobody seems to notice...When our economy collapsed, Warren Buffet was hollering that this was Pearl Harbor - and didn't anyone recognize it for what it was - why hasn't anyone seen this for what it is????

  • Most of us have suspected for a long time that our highly processed food is toxic. Now we know that this is not an accident of nature, but a chemical solution crafted by corporations for profit. You choose what you put in your mouth. Think a little bit more about that!

  • This shouldn't have 219,065 views, it should have 2,219,065

  • @jbraly I AGREE!

  • and we wonder why were a fat fucking nation... all this proccessed food. stop eating fucking garbage....

  • Here's an idea instead of getting gardening services to maintain rose bushes and lawn. Pay them to plant food on your property. That's the way it has worked for generations. Our forefathers grew a large portion of their own food.

  • If we don't want to have massive famine we need to start growing genetically modified grain that is much more hardier than natural grain. Meaning it can grow in a myriad of environments with limited water and limited nutrients.

  • @SGC17 This is not true. Biodiversity is the key to nourishing people. When you tamper with the integrity of the DNA, you recklessly and naively create havoc and uncertainties for future generations of all living creatures. Genetic engineering is sloppy at best.

  • robin,

  • Amazing video.

  • How can anyone be surprised by her news? It's all about the money and nothing about safety. It's how America is competing with the world.
