Do I need to be the first to say, Bravo to that Cellist! as a cellist who has performed this piece, I was definitely impressed, and perhaps a bit ashamed of my own performance
Billy Talley was always telling us to do something odd to make it seem like we were into the music. I had the privilege to be under his direction. Does anyone know where I can find some of the 2006-2007 Les Chanteures music? I would love to go back to those good times
That is so breathtaking that I bet the audience waited a whole minute just taking in that beautiful piece of music before they clapped. That was one of the most beautiful pieces of music and one of the most beautiful sounds I have heard in my life. I don't know... I just..... feel it. I almost makes me want to cry.
this was just so good. it's just plain and simple. your level of musicianship definitely exceeds that of a normal high school choir. the way you feel the music together as ensemble is just AMAZING. your sense of connection to one another is just stupefying! ahhh this was just so good!!!
Sopranos overpowered the altos a little towards the beginning in spots it would have been nice to hear their part, but besides that, this is beautiful.
This is a truly beautiful performance. I wish I could have heard it live. I am posting it to my new blog "Choir Director's Brag Blog" and would sure like the director to send me a couple other video links of his work for the blog. Thanks, Jack Senzig, Director, Gifford Children's Choir.
I love the the accent on the na-da! I've heard many versions of the song, but never at this tempo, with such beautiful intonation. It's really lovely!
@BeccaJoysmiles I was just looking up your director because I was in his Women's Choir for Oklahoma All-State the past weekend. Reason being, is that I love your director! Mr. Talley was wonderful! I really learned a lot from him. My friends and I really enjoyed working with him. I totally get the whole "engaging the audience" thing. He had us do it too. (: You guys did a beautiful job on this song! It's so nice.
@musicfr3ak911 i think it's their emotion. true- it is bad posture but when you get into a piece of music emotionally one may tend to lean in a little. i certainly did it when i learned this piece a few years ago.

@rwizzle65 It's also how to not sing in a choir. It's not our fault your choirmaster failed to teach you proper posture.

Beautiful sound! Terrible posture though. I just scroll the screen down and listen to the gorgeous voices.

Beautiful! How did I miss this at Nationals? A great example for any high school (and college!) ladies sound.

we were leaning forward because our director wanted us to engage the audience. :) it looks worse on here than it was.

@musicfr3ak911 Weird, isn't it? They sound exquisite - but I agree, the posture is strange!
