  • Do I need to be the first to say, Bravo to that Cellist! as a cellist who has performed this piece, I was definitely impressed, and perhaps a bit ashamed of my own performance

  • SO GOOD.

  • Hi BeccaJoy! Guess who?

  • I will never forget being in the THS choir. Mr. Talley has taught me so much and I will never forget the times we had in choi

  • Billy Talley was always telling us to do something odd to make it seem like we were into the music. I had the privilege to be under his direction. Does anyone know where I can find some of the 2006-2007 Les Chanteures music? I would love to go back to those good times

  • @rwizzle65 It's also how to not sing in a choir. It's not our fault your choirmaster failed to teach you proper posture.

  • Its how we bring feeling into our songs. Im in this choir if you dont like it keep it to yourself.

  • Wonderful!

  • they are all leaning forward....wtf,

this sounded amazing when Frontenac St. Joseph's choir did it for JFK choral festival

  • they are all leaning forward....wtf

  • Ohhh so beautiful!

  • I go to this school. Go rebels. formar choir member!

  • 1 person disliked this?

    They must be a boy.

  • That is so breathtaking that I bet the audience waited a whole minute just taking in that beautiful piece of music before they clapped. That was one of the most beautiful pieces of music and one of the most beautiful sounds I have heard in my life. I don't know... I just..... feel it. I almost makes me want to cry.

  • Does anybody have this score??

  • Does anybody have this score??

  • @malorie1693 Yeah I definitely think it's the emotion as well.

I still cannot get over how absolutely angelic this sounds! My soul shines whenever I hear it :) Solo Dios!

  • this was just so good. it's just plain and simple. your level of musicianship definitely exceeds that of a normal high school choir. the way you feel the music together as ensemble is just AMAZING. your sense of connection to one another is just stupefying! ahhh this was just so good!!!

  • Sopranos overpowered the altos a little towards the beginning in spots it would have been nice to hear their part, but besides that, this is beautiful.

  • I just finished a day at a state honor choir directed by Mr. Talley and he is AWESOME!

  • wow.

  • if i close my eyes i could almost drift into sleep while this song is ending... you guys are awesome. Phenomenal job :D

  • This is a truly beautiful performance. I wish I could have heard it live. I am posting it to my new blog "Choir Director's Brag Blog" and would sure like the director to send me a couple other video links of his work for the blog. Thanks, Jack Senzig, Director, Gifford Children's Choir.

  • Oh, I love this song so much! Does anybody know how I can get the cellosheets?

  • Oh, I love this song so much! Does anybody know how I can get the cellosheets?

  • Beautiful sound! Terrible posture though. I just scroll the screen down and listen to the gorgeous voices.

  • wow. these ladies did great. my high school choir is performing this song at Roxbury in NYC this weekend. hope we do as amazing as them!!

  • Beautiful! How did I miss this at Nationals? A great example for any high school (and college!) ladies sound.

  • I love the the accent on the na-da! I've heard many versions of the song, but never at this tempo, with such beautiful intonation. It's really lovely!

  • we were leaning forward because our director wanted us to engage the audience. :) it looks worse on here than it was.

  • @BeccaJoysmiles I was just looking up your director because I was in his Women's Choir for Oklahoma All-State the past weekend. Reason being, is that I love your director! Mr. Talley was wonderful! I really learned a lot from him. My friends and I really enjoyed working with him. I totally get the whole "engaging the audience" thing. He had us do it too. (: You guys did a beautiful job on this song! It's so nice.

  • @BeccaJoysmiles yepp. she's right. on the tape it really looks like we're leaning foreward...but we actually dont all that much really =]

  • BEAUTIFUL SOUND!!

but why does everyone seem to be leaning forward?? it's horrible posture for singing...

  • @musicfr3ak911 i think it's their emotion. true- it is bad posture but when you get into a piece of music emotionally one may tend to lean in a little. i certainly did it when i learned this piece a few years ago.

  • @musicfr3ak911 Weird, isn't it? They sound exquisite - but I agree, the posture is strange!

  • @musicfr3ak911 right.

  • Great job on the text accentuation!

  • We sang this at California All State Choir a couple years ago. Beautiful
