the other possible is that in cases like kidnapping this term is based on, the victims do happen to or come to agree with the cause of the kidnapper.

I dont beleive these labels - they make false claims and ppl believe it. EXample,psychologists say that ppl who start fires etc get a sexual arousal - that is a huge leap as far as I am concerned. The person lights the fricken fire bcoz he is a nuisance and likes to watch things burn but does NOT mean he gets sexual arousal.
