  • FUCKIN TUNE

  • was 4 years old when this same out, sadly didnt appreciate jungle/dnb music back then, but at least I appreciated the cartoon

  • Proper!

Fuck the dnb of today......so far removed from the roots it ain't true!

  • @djsharpey ABSOLUTELY!!

  • i first heard DJ ron drop this in early 94 at the rocket on Holloway road!!! Still sounds as good now as it did then..class!!!

  • oh my days one of my favorite tracks of all time!

  • One of my fave Jungle tracks ever, lovely vocals, tight riddims, rugged bass...Niiiice!!

  • where to go to live life like the good old days??? old skool fresh great sound n experimental samples from tunes that got a timeless lick. Ragga n motown wiv drumming and crashing crazyness. my nan likes jungle n old skool cuz it mellows n revives...yes yes

  • I remember Randall playing this one.

  • Good pic FX's X

  • timeless goodness!!

  • vocal source, anybody?

  • I dream of parties that only play what was the inception of jungle and drum and bass.... That's it.

  • @rcabanas10 playing only old school jungle and d&b in a club sometime soon around Palm Bay, Florida of all places. its happening

  • i remeber wen i was in year 2 my brother had this as his alarm, used to love waking up to this !!!!!!!!!!

  • rubbish pc

  • dirty back in the day, enjoy younger crew u missed out the proper tunes back then for me raving and ting 92/96 years were bad! 32 now 2011 allready time flyes as they say.

  • @kimbee04 so u went to raves at 13? lol

  • *WARNING* dance music perfection in action..... excessive listening may cause xtreme sense overload! (unlike todays bs)

  • "The night is on my mind... But the sun will soon shine!"

  • I was 8 years old in '94. I would love to have been a young man back then to experience the jungle scene at its peak :(

  • @kishcub could you add the "Manix & Tek9" and "4Hero" tags to the video to help newcomers find their old stuff easier. If I didn't research hard I would of never found this gem.

  • proper is all i can say...

  • these masters know how to hold a vibe

  • @javajava489

    djjoshb HARDCORE WILL NVR DIE

  • I don't know why, but this DnR reminds me of Bomberman Hero a little bit.

  • Tom & Jerry = Manix = 4Hero

  • @supersubsonyk Tom & Jerry = Manix & Tek 9 = 4 Hero. Sorry, but people seem to leave him out way too frequently. If it weren't for his Hip Hop roots I can guarantee you that there would be nothing like T&J to listen to. It was Manix and his skill with a breakbeat, and Tek 9 with his skill for sampling old 70's funk/soul that really made this side of Jungle come out.

  • TOM&JARRY

    = 4HERO?

  • @dopeHC3city yeah the reinforced lot were responsible for this label

  • Love dis tune

big up da 4 hero dem

    Highly Salute

    O.G. L.A. Junglist

    Jonny 5

  • choon...!!!

  • good old happy sounding jungle, hated all that rude bwoy shite that came in towrds the end of 94

  • me too it started gettin a bit silly thats when i started gettin into the more atmospheric stuff like ltj bukem & j majik this kind of jungle i love happy to say got this baby on vinyl these guys are legends :)

  • Yea it went in a dodgy direction, esoecially with what gets passed as DnB or Jungle nowadays, but even some of the old ruffneck jungle was sick at times, but never been into ragga jungle.

Bukem and similar artists paved the way for me man, still love all those vibes. Play them on my phone while walking to wherever, better than playing some grime or niche like most people do on their phones.

  • @ianruth1 too right mate.. lets be honest, that rude boy shit fucked up the whole raving seen, in and around london. same with garage, hip hop and that do do they call grime!

  • @massusm25

Yea lol its funny what they call garage nowadays, especially when you compare it to what they called garage in the late 80's early 90's. Two completely different sounds, nothing like original garage

  • @ianruth1 - Fasssssss. You would have been 10 years old in 94.

  • FOUND IT! YESSSS FOOKIN TUNE!!!!!

  • boom boom tuunnneee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BIG TUNE!!

  • and anotha!!!

  • i wish i could of been around in the 90's, best tunes are from 90's imo

  • TUUUNE!!

  • wonderful! im probly yhe only teen of today who's adicted to this

  • NO NO NO you're not!!! here is another one!!!

  • n anotha ;)

  • Comment removed

  • im 18 and believe this is better than anything i hear today

  • Some people would crucify you for saying that, but Im with you on that one mate. This stuff is where the vibe is, forget benny page, high contrast, chase n status n the like.

Producers need to turn the pages back a bit, listen to how shit used to be made, and incorporate that into their tunes of today, to re-invoke the flavour. Thats what I think anyway.

Big tune, straight in the favourites

  • Yes to re 'invoke' the flavour.. There is no groundbreaking sound in any genre, that is the problem..

Music artists are too complacent, in all genres, there needs to be a sound that isn't so refined (?) to challenge this..

    I think anyway ; )

  • remember that it's been almost 20 years since this music first emerged, initially there were a handful of innovative producers, but as more people got into the music the numbers of producers imitating outnumbered those innovating, until you get to a point where there are more fillers being produced than cutting edge tunes, same happened in hip-hop, house, techno and now even in so called experimental music. We live in an age of imitation and it's up to people like you to change this

  • @ncshuriken A lot of it's to do with a reliance on drum vsts and drum machines, as opposed to the sampled soulful jazz funk breaks which drove wonderful tracks like this. You start with a beautiful break and it's going to make you think and create more; start with some techstep beat and you're bound to produce something utterly souless.

  • @hombrerelents

thats a good point mate, I love dizzy breaks, whether its amens or some obscure drum loop, it always sounds better than individual drum hits that just dont flow like a loop.

    peace

  • @hombrerelents Exactly!!! That's why I (as a 16-year old) bought an old Atari computer and a old Akai sampler, instead of using a computer!

  • @kpjlflsknflksnflknsa Same here mate, I'm 16 and it's much better than all of the new shit today. I remember when I was like 3-4 dancing to DJ SS and SE9 Crew. :')

  • @kpjlflsknflksnflknsa Junglist!

  • @kpjlflsknflksnflknsa idem ditto

  • @kpjlflsknflksnflknsa ur one of our generation wantin to b a raver in the 90's era wud love to be there bak then

  • @kpjlflsknflksnflknsa

    djjoshb HARDCORE WILL NVR DIE

  • Me three

  • love this one
