One way to know a speech isn't targeted at your rational sensibilities is if there is background music to it. You put background music to a motivational speech before a football game or a race or something that you need to get pumped up for. You shouldn't need to get pumped up for constitutional debate, rather you should go at it with a rational mind and the willingness to do research.
Perhaps we should all patronize those evil socialist institutions called libraries.
