  • NOTE: Video and audio quality are VERY IMPORTANT on YouTube!!! Sometimes the content may be good but misunderstood because of a poor quality presentation.

  • What is he saying? I can't hear any distinct speech

  • The tithes were paid in food for the Levite Priest and to feed the poor. Send them ten percent of your canned goods then tell them to shut up!

  • Romans 10:4 "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes.

Christians: The Holy Spirit in you will lead & guide you, not the Old Covenant . The Old Covenant was based on external laws that had no power to change anyone!

  • Jesus said on the cross: Paid in full

Notice he did not say PAY in Full!

  • Jesus talked about tithing in Matthew 23:23 but he said it was not the most important aspect of the law. He was talking to Jews still under the law because Jesus had not yet died and said Paid in full so the law was still effective. Still he did not praise them for tithing.

Since tithes were paid in food in Malachi 3 then why don't they teach it the right way it was done and collect ten percent of everyone's food?

They had gold back then & could have tithe gold but didn't. Tithes were food

  • No one that loves Jesus objects to giving ten percent to support their church if the word is being taught. We object to manipulation and scripture twisting that the redeemed from the curse of (not keeping ) the law can be cursed. They lie! . There is not one demand to keep the Old Covenant law for salvation or favor from God after Jesus said paid in full. Goggle the 613 Leviticus laws,

Acts 13:39 "By him we are freed from all things by which we could not be freed by the law of Moses.

  • When reading the bible, understand:

Who was God speaking? Was it to Jews or Gentiles? Before Jesus died to fulfill the Law or AFTER Jesus said Paid in Full?

You can't take the Old Covenant based on keeping 613 Mosaic laws & apply it to New Covenant Christians who Christ has redeemed from the curse of the law!

You can't keep the whole law, unless you are sinless which is why Jesus had to come and keep it in our place. We have unmerited favor = Grace.

God gave you favor if Jesus save U.

  • Galatians 3:13 "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Next time they lie to you that you'll be cursed for not tithing tell them to read Galatians 3:13-14!

If they're still not convinced take them to Leviticus (Old Testament) Ask them which one of those 613 laws should they be stoned to death for not keeping. The eating pork one, or for for breaking the Sabbath ?

People need to understand what Jesus meant by PAID IN FULL, means it is finished. He didn't say not pay in Full!

  • @NotFlaking The way I understand the scripture, Jesus said he came to FULFILL the laws of the Old Testament. So we don't have to keep all the ceremonial laws because HE has fulfilled so much in himself by being our sacrifice.

As it pertains to moral laws, we now have an indwelling holy spirit so we're guided by the spirit as Christians, but also walk by the word. So, yes I don't u would be 'cursed', but even in the NT we are counseled to support the ones who teach us the Word.

  • @mellaLee21 No one is saying don't support the church as you decide or purpose in your own heart. . The issue is they way they teach to pay God ten percent even if it is beyond one's ability to do so and cite the Malachi 3:9 curse. Gentiles were never under the law. There were 613 Old Covenant laws. Goggle Judaism 101 613 Commandments to see a list of them all, or read Leviticus.

  • @NotFlaking I would agree, God doesn't ask to pay ten percent, he asks us to give everything to him, in recognition that everything we have came from him in the first place. The new covenant is not of laws, but of the heart, and is generally on a higher level than the OT laws (hate is now equated with murder, lust equivalent to adultery, etc.) I don't know you, and I don't know your heart, so I'm only able to make a response based on your words, without full context, so I hope you'll understand.

  • @NotFlaking As to the tithe specific, I agree with you that the NT doesn't give a mandate of 10 % and that it must be something you pray about, seeking what God wants of you specifically, and then purposing in your heart to follow that. God says that if you follow him, denying yourself (sometimes it doesn't "make sense" from a human perspective to do what you're asked by God) that he will provide, and as Creator, he has the means to back up that promise.

  • @NotFlaking But if your offerings or support ultimately stem from the "I have to because it's the rule" attitude that I'm guessing you've witnessed, and that I think you are referencing in your argument, then it's perhaps better to not give at all, for "God loves a cheerful giver." But God will always reward an honest gift from an honest heart devoting something to God and his purpose.

  • @NotFlaking Hopefully this is helpful, and hopefully it doesn't come across wrong, as I know often inflections are lost and meanings are skewed with only the text and no context of body language or tone. I'm not trying to "prove a point" or even say you're wrong, I just want to honestly address as best I can what I see as an honest statement, and a valid one both because of the logical steps taken, and because any person expressing their heart deserves a listen. Sorry this is long.

  • You are too funny, D'Lo!!!!

  • He's just country. You just got to be from the south to understand...LOL

Awesome funny man D'Lo. He is halarious and if you can't here him just book him and you'll see and here live how funny he is.

  • Seems like we all cant hear when folks get to talking about tithes and offerings(lol)...Yes the audio is bad

  • @Dottie1973 Unless you are a Jew living under the Old Covenant based on 613 laws God did not give you the Old Covenant to keep. GENTILES WERE GRAFTED INTO THE NEW COVENANT CALLED GRACE.

THE DEFINITION OF GRACE IS UNMERITED FAVOR. the audio is bad!

  • I can't understand him

  • I couldn't understand a word he said, either.

  • can't understand (hear) a word he's saying. too bad.

  • Every excuse intha book!

  • BAD Audio dude, cant hear a word clearly, but so badly wanted to hear it!
