  • How much ice do you want haha

  • Its better but still not as good as mexican coke

  • Stoners are the best reviewrs when it comes to the munchies. Great job dude. =D

  • Honestly, I couldn't taste a difference

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm a coke guy, but this was on sale. Definitely a noticeable improvement from regular Pepsi.

  • Omg it is the best pepsi i ever had, i drank 2 591ml tonight and will be getting packs soon since its only around till july at canada hahaha

  • SODA POP MADE WITH SUGAR !!!

  • hell yea dude u got that right. pepsi throw back is the best. it taste like pepsi from the 90s. and yea my friends tryed pepsi throw back and thay say it taste like diet pepsi or coke. its bc thay havent drink pepsi from the 90s in ages thats why. so thay forgot how pepsi from the 90s use to taste. but yea dude im a big pepsi fan to.

  • Good news PepsiCo has announced...Pepsi Throwback is here to stay!

  • fucking eh

  • When I tried throwback pepsi just yesterday, I first thought it tasted like diet pepsi as someone mentioned here. However, after I bought diet pepsi and tried it in comparison, the throwback pepsi does not taste like diet pepsi and is sweeter, so overall, it's much better than regular pepsi using HFCS which was way too sweet and cloud out alot of ingredient and natural taste.

Pepsi Throwback, I believe, is exactly what pepsi should always tasted like long time ago. I want them permanent.

  • The funny thing is that Throwback is actually the original Pepsi. All soft drinks used to be made with real sugar until the price of sugar increased. Because of the recession, sugar is now cheaper than high fructose corn syrup so they're thinking about going back...they're trying to accustom consumers to the new taste rather than pulling a CocaCola and doing it all at once without giving consumers the option of choosing the original version. I hope they keep it

  • @SirSuperFly Yeah, I know, its the original PEPSI from the 1970's.

  • Pepsi throwback tastes better than the regular one. I wish they bring Crystal Pepsi back :)

Though, I have to say that drinking soda out of the box tastes different, than chilling it 1st. Chilled is way better tasting.

  • Im drinking a Throwback right now.......its really good!!!!!!! But I'm still a Coca-Cola guy......

  • It really pisses me of that sodas with natural sugar instead of that artificial crap are so hard to find.what upsets me even more is that there isn't enough of a public outcry to revert back to the original formulas.you have no fucking idea how badly i want to drink a pepsi right now....no way am i consuming one laced with HFCS.

  • I think the throwback pepsi is more crisper tasting, and not as syrupy.

  • sooooooooooooooo good

  • Pepsi throwback IS better. No more high fructose corn syrup crap to make you sick. and if you noticed, theres only 6 ingredients. Water, Sugar, Caramel color, Natural flavoring. two other things I forgot.

  • @TheHolyheadshot I agree and they should make the formula with a little more sugar if people think that it doesn't taste as sweet.

  • @TheHolyheadshot I agree. However, one problem with throwback was that they forgot to include Citric acids. :-(

  • it got some pure cane in it instead

  • I tried the throwback version and honestly it tastes better than the regualr pepsi cause its made with real sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup.

  • @mechaart

Yeah I liked Throwback better after really drinking it. But now I barley ever drink soda anymore.

  • i tried it out and thought it was pretty good

  • Comment removed

  • Throwback pepsi is for the win! I don't think I'll buy the regular pepsi after reliving the delicious taste of throwback pepsi that I hadn't tasted since I was a kid in the 80s.

  • Great video !! When I tried the first Pepsi Throwback in the blue can like yours, I liked it, but It gave me a headache. This second rond of Throwback in the red, white & blue can is better and no headaches.

  • The Pepsi throwback tastes much better than that crap with the high fructose corn syrup crap in it.

  • I'm a coke drinker - there;s something about pepsi with HFCS that taste really aweful, in particular the aftertaste that begs me to scrape my tounge. Today I just tried the throwback and was pleasently surprised that it didnt give me that aweful flavor, instead it was clean and refreshing.

high fructose corn syrup is linked to diabetes and obesity (major problems in america) hopefully this throwback product will stick around with coke using the same method

  • Boohoo little baby! WAAAHHH WAAAAHH! That's all I hear from you. It's always little punk kids like yourself that are superficial. Well guess what? In the future superficial bigots will be wiped off the face of the planet because we are all sick of you cowards talking shit on the internet. Guess what? YOU WATCHED THE VIDEO! So I guess your time isn't so important now is it? I got your "precious recourses", which I think you meant resources hanging next to my nuts! Suck it, suck it hard!

  • @kleineMCB Fuck u this guy is 100 times better than u hes cool as hell and after this video i went out and bought some and fuck u i hope u dont have kids cause i dont want the future generation to be fucked up pricks like u and so what if hes fat discriminating bastard and im 13 and im much smarter than u go back to school assface

  • I love Pepsi to, but, it's just way to sweet for my taste

  • I personally like Pepsi Throwback more than the "regular Pepsi" of today. In my opinion, this is how Pepsi should taste. I wish PepsiCo would keep it permanently. Regular Pepsi is good too though.

  • Yeah for sure! After drinking more Throwback I realized how much more I like it over the corn syrup stuff.

  • @sinistermoon you are so right, we should petition pepsi to make the change back. who knows what kind of health problems are coming from the corn syrup stuff!

  • pepsi throwback is actually how pepsi used to be made until the mid 90's till they started throwing the artery-killing, metabalism-failing high fructose corn syrup. throwback tastes great. i hope they keep it up or i won't drink pepsi anymore. they might even threaten coke's products lol.

  • @gravyjoe in my country pepsi is made with real sugar

  • @2old4thatsuXx Lucky you :(

  • I bought one today, so I tried to see how it tasted before I had it so thanks.

  • i thought it tasted a little like diet

  • @iceman590444 yea, maybe a wee bit but I just thought it was less sweet is all

  • I know your a stoner.

a stoner can always point out a fellow brotheren.

  • Haha for sure man! You know what goes great with weed? Pepsi Throwback!

  • nvm i found it!!! haha its amazing

  • Dude this is the Original and the pepsi of today is abnormal

  • Dude I know!

  • Cool, well enjoy cause I love Pepsi too!

  • i cant find this shit anywhere

  • That sucks!

  • Tastes the same to me.

  • me too!

  • Pepsi

  • I'm 38 and I have to say I grew up with Pepsi without HFCS. HFCS is being used because it is cheaper. I like the 'natural sugar' Pepsi better. If HFCS is modern...then call me old-fashioned !

  • Yeah after really drinking the Pepsi Throwback I have to say that I like it WAY more than the High-fructose corn syrup version. The real sugar seems to just melt on my tongue were as the corn syrup seems to stick to my teeth and leave a bad after taste. Right now the Pepsi in my mini fridge is Throwback and I will buy it until they stop making it.

  • your hearing isnt excellent cuz i yelled to you several times during the vid!!!lol jk

  • High fructose corn syrup sux my ass

  • LOL yeah I'm more into sugar really.

  • Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback is coming back on 12.28.09 for another 8 more weeks. It's not the same as the Passover Pepsi which is probably regular Pepsi with real sugar. If you live in certain areas then you can get some. It's popular with non Jews and it's available for a limited time during the month of Passover. I'm not Jewish and I'm looking forward to trying both.

  • That is all awesome information man. I am dieing to know what a kosher Pepsi tastes like. I hope to see it at a store near me.

  • Will they make it permanent?

  • they should

  • PepsiCo didn't make a 2 Liter throwback. Just 1 liter, 12 pack or 20 oz bottles.

  • Yep figured that out later. Real sugar is awesome. I need something else other than High-fructose corn syrup every now and then lol.

  • How did you like the Throwback Pepsi? Did it taste better than the regular pepsi?

  • yep, might as well

  • I was a Pepsi drinker and remember the time before fructose. I switched to Coca Cola.

Pepsi Throwback is a treat, better than Coke. Fructose destroys the taste in all Pop.

Thanks Pepsi, I hope you keep it as a regular drink because your Pepsi has been terrible for years and that's why people moved to Coke.

During your famous Taste test...YOU LOST!

Anyone that says different is just a kid!

  • technically throwback is the original, since corn-syrup wasn't common before the 80's. throwback has really grown on me, and I'm starting to find the last of the 12 packs in stores. sad, but at least that means it's selling well.

  • lol "idk i just like to smell things" lol ur funny

  • PEPSI FANS UNITE!!! i love pepsi!!!!

  • i just wanna say thanks! :D im not gonna lie thsi was a little weird but this made me go out and try one

  • I spoke to someone in the US who has both pepsi natural and pepsi throwback and they are different things. Pepsi natural has a slight apply taste as it's made from apple extract.

But Pepsi Raw has been released nationally here. no info on if it's limited edition or anything tho.

  • Have you heard of it before? It's not a regional re-naming thing or anything?

I'm really just going what wikipedia says about it.

  • We've just had a "all natural ingredients" Pepsi announced for the UK now called Pepsi Raw.

But according to Wikipedia, it's referred to as Pepsi Natural in the US.

  • They should have called it Pepsi Perfect, like in Back to the Future 2 :D

  • Just seen it's coming out in the UK now, but it's gonna be called "Pepsi Raw".

  • I think your pepsi-raw is what we have as pepsi-natural in the US. It has even more natural ingredients like apple-extract(tastes a little funny). throwback is just pepsi with sugar instead of hfcs.

  • as there any reason why they switched to HFCS? It wasn't Pepsi's equivalent of New Coke or anything? And is it sweeter?

Also is Pepsi throwback a limited edition thing or there to stay now?

We've not had too many changes to our drinks in the UK, in the 80's Coke had a "vegetable extract" version out, which I can barely remember the taste of. But their only other ventures were with bizzare twists, like Lemon flavour and Coffee flavour.

  • I believe the reasoning for using HFCS is that there is a much higher tax on sugar (which is mostly imported to the US) than HFCS which is based off corn-syrup and corn is one of our biggest crops.

  • Wow, That's really interesting. Thanks for the info.

I thought Hawaii had a lot of sugar cane fields there?

  • not only that but its a really bad sweetener made from genetically modified corn that couldn't be sold and is boiled down into a goo and contains trace amounts of mercury, its such a crooked deal cause they wanted something dirt cheap that would replace sugar but the thing is its in my opinion one of the reasons why ppl are obese. Keep in mind this man-made sweetener didn't exist years ago.

  • And the best thing about contacts is you don't get the fogging issue.

  • Stigmatisms are ia bitch, i have that problem too. Also get contacts man, not glasses.

  • Honestly, I don't think I am responsible enough to have contacts lol. And you have to keep buying stuff for them and all that. So glasses is what my poor ass is getting. I will only be wearing them when reading anyhow since I am getting a separate pair of prescription sunglasses as well.

  • Not really as much as you think, You can wear the same pair for multi-months just make sure you let your eyes breath every once and awhile.

  • I dont care for things like aspartame and all that, but for the cancer comments.. what doesnt cause cancer anymore! really lol. this day in age just about everything causes cancer, i dont bother trying to avoid it since well couldn't cook on hardly anything, eat, drink., ect... Heck even the one patato a day thing, doesnt work because most of the soils dont even have all the nutrients they use to. I will try this one, i LOVE pepsi lol (Cherry Pepsi FTW)

  • To bad its not kosher.

  • High-Fructose Corn Syrup doesn't cause cancer, but it isn't good for the body at all. Diet sodas often contain Aspartame and Cyclamates. These, however, have shown to have some kind of correlation with cancer in animals in labs, though we cannot exactly say for certain there is cause and effect.

Also, in diet drinks it is thought those artifical sweeteners, like Aspartame, cause body weight gain due to a faulty insulin response from the pancreas when they are consumed.

    Cont...

  • But, awesome vid Sinister! I've not ever heard of this, I'm gonna give it a shot. Have you tried the Mountain Dew Throwback? I wonder how that is.

We need to play some KZ or Warhawk man!

  • lmfao its good with vodka

  • ive heard corn syrup causes cancer.

  • Not sure if that is true or not. But if so then I can assure you that I have cancer. And I think people get really skinny and lose their hair when they have cancer. And as you can see I have plenty of hair and I am far from skinny lol. But I do hear that corn syrup has trace amounts of mercury in it. Which is bad. But I don't know if it is true or not.

  • Who uses a straw? my grandma uses a straw.

  • I'll give your grandma a straw to suck on lol. She could me a gum job lol.

I use a straw because it localizes what ever you are drinking. And I don't like ice touching my lip.

  • Lol, a nice slurp of Man Milkshake :D

  • Gin & Tonic through a straw works well. You go completely blind after about 14 or 15 of them. Brilliant !!

  • Haha hell yeah man. I hear drinking booze with a straw makes the proof gets higher or something like that. I knew a chick that would ALWAYS drink her booze with a straw.

  • I say that they sould bring back Crystal Pepsi. That was the shit.

  • and let us not forget teh mighty RC COLA!!!

  • You are the man Sin, haha, ;).

  • I drink Coke and Pepsi. Heh,I could see the Pepsi corp. using this for a commercial. lol

  • im from scotland and have no idea what throwback is?

r pepsi just bringin out the old formula or somethin?

  • It's the standard version in the UK anyway as American Pepsi is made with corn syrup.

  • lmao you made this video! Awesome dude! :D

  • I really wish I could taste the original coke flavor.

And I mean the ORIGINAL one that was laced with Cocaine, love to know if it tasted different.

  • Hahaha. One time at a party we put some cocaine in some Coke and it tasted good. So good it made your mouth numb lol.

  • Lol, did it taste sweeter or tangier at all?

Before it went numb obviously :D

  • Not really. It just kinda blended in. Most expensive Coke I have ever tried that is for sure.

  • lol, I'll bet! :D

  • awesome

  • Im a Coke guy myself. Enjoying one right now, I wouldn't be if I could get more damn pepsi blue!

  • I never heard of this before. What's the throwback? Is it a throwback to an older taste of Pepsi? Is it gonna throw me back some money? What's the throwback?

  • Throwback is it's made of Sugar and not Corn Syrup.

  • So is this Pepsi Throwback the same as the UK Pepsi? Because I was told that Corn Syrup is banned over there.

  • I've not heard about it being banned, but it's all sugar in the UK.

Or at least coke is, I've got a can infront of me and it says sugar, no syrup in it.

  • I listen to Destructoid's Podcastle, their British podcast, and one thing that they keep bringing up on that podcast is the discussion of High Fructose Corn Syrup because Jim Sterling of that site recently moved to the US, and he keeps mentioning how everything is more sweet over here because everything has corn syrup and they mentioned that it's banned in the UK since it's so bad for our health.

  • Ah, I know Mars bars, Snickers and M&M's are different in the UK, they use vegetable fat to make the chocolate more creamy.

And I'd agree about the sweeter, I bought a box of Twinkies off eBay once (don't laugh, always wanted to taste them) and I was amazed how sweet they were!

  • I see. One thing that Jim Sterling keeps mentioning on that podcast is the bread here and how he can't stand eating bread in the US since it's all sweet. I came to this country when I was really young, so I grew up eating US bread, and I had no clue that the bread here was sweet since that's what I'm used to eating.

  • Interesting, I think they need to put it in as you're so used to it, even though you're not aware that it's even there.

Like Baked Beans and Ketchup have sugar in them, even though you think there wasn't.

Same with Salt really, a lot of things have excessive amounts of salt in them, but you'd never know.

  • Pepsi kicks ass

  • Thanks for the review, I want to try it now.

  • Throwback Pepsi? hmmm I never heard of it. I prefer Coke, but yay for random video.

  • i love dr pepper, coke, and pepsi just not as much as the first two.

    banana ice cubes ftw

they should bring back crystal Pepsi lol

I might have to give this pepsi a try and see how i like it
