It's a national disgrace that this ship was not retained by the UK and moored in London as a permanent feature. It proves everything has it's price even national pride.
@donaldengine9 A bit extreme, but not far off. The British talk about how she is such a maritime treasure, but they did nothing to keep her in the UK. The same thing with the Queen Mary. I'm glad however I DID get to see and stay on the QM in Long Beach. I just wish she wasn't immobile. She deserves to be able to go out and waft through the ocean swells as she proudly did 44 years ago.

I never had the privilege of riding on the QE2, but as an Irish-American, I believe that the English are responsible for all the troubles going on Ireland over the centuries. I'll ride a US registered ship, thanks.
I was aboard her on this crossing. It was a sad time for so many, most of all Captain McNaught. Thanks for this souvenir of the last great trans-Atlantic liner. Sic transit gloria.
Wow, what a great video! It was amazing when they were saluting each other, it was like they were talking and saying their final good byes. It must've been great being a part of history. Great video. :)

Too bad the QE2 wasn't sunk instead of letting the cocksuckin' moslems have her.

@islamsucksallah: Why would you want her sunk? That's kind of an extreme.

it seems to me that the QE2 has a better horn. but maybe that's because of the distance between the two ships

@tscanny90
No - QE2 had by far the more impressive whistle. Although QM2 isn't bad......
