Due to the fact that the tracking range and RCS are logarithmically related, we could calculate the range at which it could track other planes with stealth capabilities. the F-22's RCS is .0001m^2 and the F-35's is .001 m^2.
This means that the S-400 could track the F-22 174 km away and the F-35 307 km away. The F-22's best ASM can hit a target 150km away and the F-35s can hit a target 370km away. The F-22 wouldn't fair very well against the S-400 but the F-35 has the upper hand.

Ah.. so I did find it, but its not "less then one half" as you previously stated but rather 0.6 to 0.9, its not percent, its probability, in percentage - 60-90% kill probability against precision guided munitions, NOT "less then one half". JASSM-158 will probably be difficult to track at long ranges, but at close ranges the missile is like all - vulnerable and due to its subsonic speeds, air defence systems will have alot of time to react and engage it.

Well does stealth involve only radar/heat signatures of the aircraft body or anything additional too? I assumed total stealth testing against other aircraft would mean knowing atleast in some detail the opponents' aircraft, ie, their weapons, type of radars used, engine modes and so on... so I wanted to know how this stealth testing is done and how can a country be confident that their jets will not be detected by enemy radars.

The only stats we have available regarding the detection capabilities of Russia's S-400 missile system is it can track a target with an RCS of .02m^2 400km away. Due to the fact that the tracking range and RCS are logarithmically related, we could calculate the range at which it could track other planes with stealth capabilities. the F-22's RCS is .0001m^2 and the F-35's is .001 m^2.
.02/.0001=200 .02/.001=20 Log(20)=1.301, Log(200)=2.301. 400/2.301=174 400/1.301=307

This means that the S-400 could track the F-22 174 km away and the F-35 307 km away. The F-22's best ASM can hit a target 150km away and the F-35s can hit a target 370km away. The F-22 wouldn't fair very well against the S-400 but the F-35 has the upper hand.

Ah.. so I did find it, but its not "less then one half" as you previously stated but rather 0.6 to 0.9, its not percent, its probability, in percentage - 60-90% kill probability against precision guided munitions, NOT "less then one half". JASSM-158 will probably be difficult to track at long ranges, but at close ranges the missile is like all - vulnerable and due to its subsonic speeds, air defence systems will have alot of time to react and engage it.

It is over 3.5m long, which is pretty large, definately large enough for an interception and speed will probably not be an issue as the Tor air defence system can engage targets traveling at speeds of 0.7km/sec.

Yes, but the two missiles are designed differently to suit their roles.
AAM rocket motors are generally designed for a long sustained burn times under lower drag conditions, reducing fuel consumption and so increasing range.
SAMs (especially short range ones) have quick burning rocket motors, these are designed for rapid acceleration and very high energy output, to deal with immense drag experienced at low altitudes.

I very much doubt it, the system was especially designed for this purpose and if it cannot effectivelly carry it out, it would be, well... useless, right?, but it was mass produced and recieved major upgrades several times, tested many times against varieties of targets, including cruise missiles, drones and precision guided weapons and nothing indictes the system is ineffective, so this argument about effectivness of the system against supersonic missiles reached a stalemate.

That would be true, if a comparison was being done against targets the Tor system was designed to intercept and targets it was able to intercept without the initial design requirement to do so, this is however irrelevent as these faster, smaller missiles you mention were exactly what the Tor system was designed to intercept.
