Alvin Lee was a great lead guitarist, his live performance of Goin' Home at Woodstock is the stuff of legends, you won't believe his riffs. I always thought if he had gotten a good frontman like Robert Plant, TYA would have sounded a little more exciting & perhaps rose a little higher into the league of Led Zepplin territory, and he would be a much better known player like Jimmy Paige. He can tear the guitar up! But his vocals were average, so I think a more colorful singer would have helped TYA
