  • He went over and beyond his best,it was wonderful.

  • I see a shy little boy trying to ask if anyone would like to come be his (E's) Friend? I SEE IT IN HIS EYES!

  • Email me how s ep popularity there is it growin im workin on aloha2 u can join with yo pals.hope2make it international event 1.13.2013!

  • Ok, the man did drugs, a lot! He wasn't stoned here, though. He was not a good speaker. He sang & acted, but those words were written for him. When he just talked, he was shy & always rambled. I'm not aware of any entertainer who hasn't done some kind of drug at one time or another. He's certainly not alone in that category & paid the ultimate price for it. Leave him alone & enjoy his music.

  • @wp1953 Uh. No. He was actually a very natural, articulate and very effective speaker. That is, when he wasn't stoned out of his gourd as he clearly is here...

  • @wp1953 Im on your side but he is not clean here I think! It doesnt matter to me at all. I think you can see it in his eyes and movements. Dont get me wrong. He is my man since -62 ( Return to sender). Best regards!

  • I need to know why, when every entertainer of the 60's, 70's and later, were on drugs, Elvis takes the heat for it. For all you bashers, what did Kurt Kobain, Heath Leger, Jim Morrison, and so many others die from? DRUGS - so lighten up on Elvis. He was the best entertainer of them all, and unfortunately, succumbed to drugs but check out the long list of the rest. I think these losers are uninformed or jealous.

  • So I guess all these ppl that say Elvis was high here must be experts on what it is like to be high - clean up your own backyard first. Elvis had an amazing voice, charisma, fantastic looks - maybe jealousy rears it's ugly head with these arm-chair critics. Do they think their life is so perfect? Maybe they need to GET A GRIP. Achieve what he did in his life time and then offer an opinion, until then - no one is listening to you.

  • Let's face it - Elvis was the king of music. He had a drug problem. And he had a hell of a lonely time at the top. Even the Beatles turned to drugs and they had each other to share their experiences. Elvis was fantastic. Such a great guy.

  • I miss him so much!

  • AMAZING

  • I can understand how some of you may think Elvis was "on" something here but truth be told in preparing for the "aloha" concert Elvis stayed off any medication and got in the best shape since '68. Here's he's just nervous and not very clear-headed likely cuz he may of just gotten up. But look at his eyes, they're alert and he just is caught in an off guard moment. Think about it, this is the biggest concert anyone could ever give! Even during the concert Elvis doesn't let loose & move as much.

  • im 35 and been a fan since i was 13 he was the most handsome guy i have ever seen he was a true gentlemen i just wish i had a chance to to see a live show no one will ever come close to elvis australia loves u elvis xxx

  • @iLeewarren

As I was a pretty big Elvis fan, you can imagine what a thrill it was meeting your idol. I've done a lot of things on this earth since then, but that's still one of my highlights. Aloha

  • you can soo tell he's drugged up out of his mind....so sad what happened to elvis, it's the people around him who need to be blamed

  • i think he had that shit on his mind a whole lot pricilla leavin him and cheatin on him for that spanish kerate dude.....his heart was jus tearing him apart

  • the king of cool.

  • No Elvis was not high here at all. Elvis still got nervous in front of people, shows what a humble man Elvis was. I love hearing Elvis talk. Elvis is a wonderful man first then a wonderful talented man. I love Elvis with all my heart.

  • I was at this press conference. I was a 15 year old intern at KHON Honolulu. Elvis was polite, funny & self-effacing the entire time. He stayed afterward to greet the press and he took the time to shake my hand and ask my name after being introduced. A very cool dude. I've haven't seen footage of this event since that night's newscast. Thanks for posting this.

  • Humble superstar. Not often we see humble stars today. Not even C- celebrities.

  • he is not high dont you ever get nervous and talk like that why does everyone think he is allways high come on he is human you know

  • holy shit he was high

  • He wasnt high jackass. Read any book from anyone who was there and they will tell you that Elvis when doing press conferences usually got very nervous because he was generally shy. Maybe you were high when you watched this.

  • @Phillysoc Holy shit your dumb.Let me guess????? was he ever high??? Or was he always shy? HE DIDNT DIE OF SHYNESS HE DIED OF A DRUG OVERDOSE.GET A GRIP.

  • Whatever about being high what comes across most is his shyness and insecurity. He was a complex, tormented man. Introverted with a talent that demanded he be extrovert. Always pulled and conflicted. It must have been very difficult for him.

  • What if you achieved all your dreams and discovered they were meaningless; empty. What then?

  • "This is the medallion of life"... this message was uttered by a young Sioux Indian backstage at an E. Presley cocert in 1977. The Torah is the "Tree of Life" for all who behold it. Sincerely, The Legendary Danny O'Doul

  • what's the name of this song ?

  • The name of this song is Suspicion

  • @b707man Thank you :)

  • the guys as high as balloon - nut balls

  • Elvis was going through so much in his life at this time ... he had split from Priscilla and yet he continued performing and stepped up to do a world satellite show which today seems so what but back then it was state of the art technology ... more people would tune in to Elvis Alhoa concert than watched Neil Armstrong take his first step on the moon .... Elvis was bigger than even that

  • The satellite show was 1972. Neil Armstrong stepped on the meen 1969. I didnt know the king could travel through time.

  • Theyoulibe1: Actually the show was done January 14, 1973. And it had a larger audience than Neil Armstrong walking on the moon did. Matter of fact it still is the largest audience ever for any event. No one made mention of Elvis traveling through time. Facts are facts regardless of what year they occured in.

  • @TheYoulube1 14th January 1973

  • elvis remained humble throughout and, combine that with huge talent and generosity and you have the most wonderful, respected humanitarian entertainer of the 20th century who now resides in the arms of god. rest in peace and thanks for the memories, dear elvis

  • Yes Sir, Was what i remember him for,

he had respect & gratitude for he and only he knew that in one day the music industries, who would respect the versatality and talent of a great artist that he was to become. Dont get me wrong i live in England and when the Beetles arrived i thought that was the end for E.

But the guy give him credit at the end.

He pulled through and he did it in style.

    Long live the King.

  • i am a girl

  • It does not matter how or what Elvis was doing when he passed. Elvis deserves respect for the wonderful man that he is and always will be. I believe that God knew Elvis had a great sense of humor, which Elvis did. Elvis lives on my heart. I love Elvis.

  • Death comes to us all in different ways and I would hope no one would make fun of someone's death not knowing how our own will come to us. Nothing can defame Elvis' talent and generous heart not even your pathetic comment.

  • I hope that when you go people will be as compassionate towards you as you were to others. I'm sure you will be remembered the way you truly were-A royal fucking prick!

  • Incredible voice, never will be another one like this.

  • Very humble

  • It's always interesting to see new footage of Elvis and how much of a regular guy he was when he wasn't on stage or in the movies. He's said many times that nerves affect him when speaking in front of people and it shows the honesty in him. He could have turned on the flashy Elvis stage persona but he didn't. This is what I don't like about Elvis impersonators, they think Elvis was always "on". He was a humble, respectful individual who also had his failings but possessed great talent.

  • It´s incredible how Elvis being elvis was so unasumming. I mean other entertainers resort to shallowness in order to appear bigger, and this, the King was BIG!

    No need to brag!

  • Thats right. The greatest of them all as humble as that makes him even larger.

  • @chinchonchinchon From my research, spirituality was ever so important to him....On a program on PBS, i learned that Elivs continually asked, "why did the Lord chose me?" Since his mother was raised as a Jew, he wore not only a Christian Cross but also the Star of David, in recognition of his past. He always sought, throughout his life, for a reason as to why he was allowed to live when his twin, Jesse, had died at birth...

  • @bushbaby001 I've read Larry Geller's book, and unfortunately Elvis was into astrology, numerology, and numerous New Age occult books. From Geller's book, Elvis didn't believe that Jesus was the only begotten son of the Father...he believed in a "christ conciousness". Oprah pushes this lie. Elvis also apparently believed in reincarnation, which is a lie from Satan. Unfortunately, according to Geller's book, Elvis had unbiblical beliefs. The truth is that Jesus IS the only way. God bless you.

  • @empireuniverse Thank you so much for setting the record straight! I've only recently become interested in his life, his journey and the cause of his demise. Thank you for your time.

    Love, Bridgette

  • @chinchonchinchon I see a shy little boy trying to ask if anyone would like to come be his (E's) Friend? I SEE IT IN HIS EYES!

  • bravo mai!...ma refer la "elvisromania"....cat il priveste pe elvis....."bravo-ul" e redundant

  • Elvis was not a public speaker like all these phony politicians,

he was just a simple country boy, and many times he was

nervous when speaking in public with all the lights on him. It's

not like singing and anyone can get freaked out. Put yourself

in his shoes. He was a good person and he had a good heart.

  • Not all drugs. Elvis was just so cool and laid back that he just came off that way. That's why there is only Elvis. Never be another. Larry Blong

  • Fantastic!

When i see such people like elvis, lennon, morrison, hendrix i think how can i get same recognition in my area...but unerstand that it is just destiny...and if the god did not choose you to be a great star it is impossible to strive to...

  • You are very welcome.God bless you and God bless the one and only Elvis.
