Maybe GSN's ratings would go up a little if they would get there heads out there ****** and air the episodes from the super early era as well as this era
Cool thing about this episode...the Gail in this video is the mom of one of my good friends. She's been looking for this video for a LONG time and she'll be SO happy I found it here. Thank you VERY much thewhammy83 for this post. Means A LOT!!!
I noticed that episode from PRESS YOUR LUCK did it originally on CBS Daytime, and I did see the USA logo on the lower-right hand corner of the television screen. Besides, that same episode never aired on GSN [Game Show Network]. By the way, who was the announcer for PRESS YOUR LUCK from May 7, 1986?
I think that's the first time I've ever seen an Add-A-One used to the way I'm sure the producers wanted, instead of the $10 or $100 atrocities I saw when they were hit before.
The odds were against Gail heavily-having about $14K less than Joe, 3 whammies, and 5 passed spins. I cannot blame Joe for taking 1 spin and passing the rest.
This episode was recorded for me. The person started before the first question was asked and ended it at the end of this clip. That same person erased the first question round. What you see is all I have left of this episode. The last segment was never recorded. Rod Roddy announced this episode.
This USA Network rerun must be from Wednesday September 27, 1995, because a week ago, "Silk Stalkings" began its 5th season, and 2 weeks later (on 10/13/95), would be the final USA aired episode of "Press Your Luck" (Erica/Moredecai/Jeanne).

That's usually my PYL Expert Edition ending. Player 1: 3 Whammies Player 2: 4 Whammies Player 3: 0 Whammies and wins!

Vance should have passed

I think by this point of the show's run, they had put too many whammies on the board.

Number of whammies here was the same as they had been throughout the series... at nine per round.

Joe got the Add-A-ONE, rare to see it hit with over $1000 beforehand

He Got That ADD-A-ONE. That's Wassup!

I have to applaud Joe for that strategy. Very well played.

On Joe's second day, Llewwllynn (i forget her name's spelling.) won with $0. (3 losers!).

Anyone have Joe's second day?

Is that really a smart move ? Taking 1 spin and passing the remaining spins ?

I think you are absolutely right. I do remember recording this episode just before USA changed it's afternoon lineup. You get a spin [ding].

Add more episode from 1983 or 1986

I will add more episodes when I obtain some more and if they are not already uploded yet.

Thanks for posting this. I'm sure I saw the episode after this, but I don't think I saw this, until now.
