  • Dont like the hi-hat sound but like the playing :)

  • damn!!!! thats sooo unique

  • wonderful!

    im jealous.

when these are played just like in your second example, they really sound fucking great.

    whats the price?

  • swwwweeet hihats

  • those cymbals are so different than any other cymbal i love hammerax

  • Exelent!

  • Just wanted to say that you are going to hurt your wrists if you keep holding the stick that way when you were doublehitting

  • @bugstile I disagree. In a new lesson that I just posted, I explain that almost all of the work in that technique is done with the fingers. There is absolutely no detrimental effect to the wrist, whatsoever. Completely safe! (and fun!) :)

  • @kindbeats If you feel that way, alright I believe you :)

  • that hi-hat sounds pretty sweet, I thought they would sound trashy, but you proved me wrong.

  • umm where can i get those!!!!!! mother fucker i want them so damn bad!!!!!

  • @xlr8r9999 You would have to request them as a special order with Hammerax. They're called the Andrew McAuley 15" Under Violets.

  • @kindbeats when i get some (if i get some) i will send you a video of me playing them!!!!!! thanks man

  • wow fancy!

  • nice you got 8 nipples on your hi-hat... haha just playin those are pretty sick!

  • @2014Hayes they make for better 4/4play! *badum crash!*

  • @kindbeats thyre pretty tight!!

  • Damn, they're nice, mic those beasts up some time.

  • Damn? whered you get em?

  • @Scream0134 I got them custom made directly from Hammerax since I'm an artist of their's.

  • nice man ... im more of a zildjian fan myself but i allways respect the creativity hammerax has :)

  • Wow great Hi-Hat

    sounds very interesting.

    What sticks are you use?

  • @Sonor1996 Thanks! I use Vater Manhattan 7A's with wood tips.

  • Interesting sound!

  • That last beat with the cross stick is fucking sick!

  • WOHAAh! Nice Sound man!!! i love the crisp, very light yet Sharp !

  • @ 1:41 what an incredible grove. I cant wait to get to my rehearsal kit and try that. Love your playing!

  • 1:38...im going to use that

  • Thats a really jazzy sounding ride! I love it!

  • Holy fuck...they sound amazing, even when distorted as hell! Can't wait to hear them with proper recording.

  • Very good sound!! :)

  • smooth technique man!

  • Those hi hats sound great. Just looking at them you wouldn't think that they would be so versatile.

  • love it man!

  • Tight man, where did you got that cymbal from? Idea and all.

Nice technique for teh double hits in hi -hat ill pu tin use :)

  • @PeponeNRC I'm an endorser of Hammerax cymbals so they made them for me at my request. They have a line of bright cymbals called the "Ultra Violet" series. The 15" UV's sound amazing but I prefer a darker, trashier sound, so they "darkened" a pair for me and included microcups for extra effect on the top cymbal. I also chose to have them remain unwaxed. Glad you dig them!

  • those are some filthy beats man,...nice!

  • i came.

  • It really isnt my kind of sound, I like them though. Its cool how the hammer marks make the cymbal sound more trashy. Thoes are really cool

  • 2 people don't know sound

and you've got some skill nice hat's

    how much??? ?? ???

  • IIIILLLLL BUY EM OFF YOU BROTHAA LOL.....JK.....GOOD SHIT

  • Awesome playing, man! Love the sound of those hi-hats.

  • Nice cymbals man! :)

  • Thanks for sending, I'd kill a small child to hear these properly mic'd up and all :D

  • Nice, i like it (:

  • Cool sounding Hi Hat there. Does those bumps make the high "hissing" sound ? Or do you do that with your feet?¿

  • nice drums can i have them

  • nice

  • @hit12marleys Same here! What a coincidence! lol ;)

  • woop hey bud thats awesome !

  • ha ha ha ha that thing is funny but good

  • Are you just doing 16th notes between the top and bottom of the stick at 1:40? I've never seen hats played like that! It looks/sounds sweet!

  • @drumsticks135 Yessir! I started developing the technique about 3 years ago. I also like to pull off the occasional 32nd notes! :)

  • 1:37 DnB? Good job man! You showed us some nice drumming skills and the potetnial of these hi - hats of yours too. Feel happy for you. : - )

  • @KrasiGorinov Thanks man! I really appreciate the kind words (no pun intended!).

  • ive been looking for a hi hat with that tune ur awesome but sadly i dont have one:( i have a zildjian zbt

  • you kick ass !

  • @TheGabriel4449 As do you, my friend! Thanks for the kind words!

  • Hats are very nice!!! Great playing, too!!! Thank you, for sharing :-)

  • @margovallen And thank you for watching! :) I'm glad you enjoyed!

  • They sound awesome. I sure wish you would have demo'd them on the motown open closed slush trip. Also you play too soft.

  • @jajones1952 Thanks man, I'm glad you like them! I will be making a ton of videos with them in the near future and I'll be sure to try and capture the "motown slush" that you mentioned. Out of curiosity though, what makes you say I play too soft? Don't worry, no upset or anything. lol Just curious because I don't get told that very often.

  • @kindbeats You just have that light touch it seems . At least in the demo anyway. No offense. About how much does a pair of those go for?

  • @jajones1952 None taken, my friend! :) As for the hats, these are currently a one of a kind pair but I'm hoping if enough people ask about them that they will offer them as a signature series cymbal. As an endorser I'm not really familiar with the prices of gear off hand, but for an approximate cost of how much they would be, you can check out the prices on Hammerax's 15" Ultra Violet hi-hats and it should be in that ballpark.

  • @jajones1952 It's called "technique." :-)

  • Thanks for messaging me. :D

And I was actually looking around at Hammerax.

They're really unique, but expensive cymbals.

  • @omg1a1kitten thanks for watching! :) To be honest, I don't really know how much cymbals go for these days, but I can tell you that the quality of Hammerax's products never ceases to amaze me. Plus a 4 year warranty on all products? Yes please! lol Thanks again for watching and I'm glad you dug my cymbals! :)

  • @kindbeats

    They look promising. :P

Supposedly the flimsiness gives it more strength?

I'm a little rough on my cymbals.

  • nice! can you put another vid up of them? kinda sounds like the mic is too close or something. you have some pretty good chops bro. keep it up. gotta band?

  • @vtmike13 Thanks man! Yeah, I was using a new camera and it was too close to kit. I'm going to be getting a Zoom soon to record the audio in my vids. Should solve the problem. In the meantime, these hats will be my main hats in most of my vids so you will definitely get to hear them again soon. Sub for updates! I'm not in any particular band at the moment but have been working on a ton of solo projects. You can check out my site for more info and forums. Thanks again for watching!

  • kewl

  • is good, congratulations friend!

  • beautiful hihats. i'm a hi hat and ride cymbal snob, so when i see and hear nice ones that i like, it's hard to look away. i have sabian 13 fusions, which i love, but i have always wanted a larger, thinner, washier sounding pair, it's just that i can never find a happy medium. but it sounds like you can get any sound from your new ones. so how does one become an "official hammerax artist", because i always drool over their exotic cymbals.

  • @whyhatestrangers Thanks so much! The credentials for getting an endorsement with all major companies are the same: skills and exposure. If you have enough people checking you out or looking for your projects and some music or touring to back it up, a company will usually be at least interested in checking out your resume. You can find the contact information on Hammerax's website. Good luck and thanks again for commenting! I'm glad you dig the hats!

  • Sah-weeet!

  • good stuff you got there!

  • GAHH THEY SOUND LIKE GOD!

  • they look like old hi hats found in the garbage but they do sound good.

  • WOOOOW - GREAT!!

  • Now that is something unique

  • NICE!!

  • nice sound

  • They sound like nothing else man! They are so awesome, they sound so incredible! Where did you get them? :D Man, your snare is also good, god damn it, can't stop lstening :D

  • @polskpojjkeh Thanks man! I'm glad you like the sound! I'm an official Hammerax cymbals artist so they designed a custom hi-hat for me. They are currently a one of a kind set, but I'm hoping if people show interest in wanting them that I can convince Hammerax to release a signature line for me.

  • @polskpojjkeh if you like them, you can check out and purchase Hammerax cymbals on mycymbal.com.

  • Nice chops! The hats are sizzlin'...!

  • great grooves man!

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Hammerax's, the name says it all, straight up bad ass & so R you.

  • @fourhl Thanks a lot and yes, Hammerax is straight up bad ass!

  • Damn, it has a really good wash when you're just riding on it.

  • Hey Man, thanks for the share! : D

    Those are ridiculous hats!

  • @whoareyou134 Thanks man! I'm in love with them! :)

  • search Armando Aussenac for some sick solo's!

  • ....wish i could jam with this guy.. :(

  • Nice work:) Sounds great :)

  • Awsome Man !!

  • Wow custom cymbals! Neil Peart status!

  • @valthejazzymetalhead lol one step at a time, right? ;p

  • Dude, those look like the shields the gladiators used, haha!

    Love the sound!

  • @hotdrumchick Haha! Yeah, Hammerax makes some beautiful cymbals. I'm glad you enjoyed!

  • Nice, by the way did you get a chance to do the two way independence drills?

  • @maguzzy I haven't yet, sorry. I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to do anything that hasn't been planned for months in advance. Hopefully soon!

  • Good

  • Were you doing a gravity blast at 1:40? Because it was really good!

  • @drummerboy0311 Thanks! That is actually a technique that I just started playing around with a couple of years ago. It's not a blast beat, it's just using both the tip and butt end of the stick so that you can double up on the hi-hats (or whatever sound you choose to play). Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @kindbeats Well, i'm going to have to try this technique myself. Don't give up drumming, you're very good at it.

  • they sound awesome ;)

  • I love the sound of your ride. What is it?

  • @colourfulwithaU That is a 16" Indigo Flatride from Hammerax cymbals. Glad you love it because that makes two of us! ;)

  • fuck they are heaver as shit! :D

And the shit u do with it, all in good use.

How much did they set u back?

  • @chrisadrumz I'm not really allowed to discuss prices and whatnot because it may be considered a violation of my endorsement. I hope you understand!

  • @kindbeats Lmao all good bro :D

They're rarely available in Australia and was hoping to get a Glass cymbal if good prices came along. Just why i was asking.

  • A microphone that can deal with that kind of noise better wouldnt be too bad.

  • @Slayerbubu yeah, I just got his camera and I'm still trying to find a good range where the audio doesn't distort. May have to buy a Zoom recorder for the audio on my new vids. Plus they will all be in HD.

  • those sound extremely crisp!!!!!!!! awesome

  • Sounds good!

  • You are an awesome drummer bro

  • @SilentBombr Thanks so much!
