Ask people from Bacolod if they are Ilonggo because they speak HIligaynon and they will answer yes- Ilonggo ako. Then ask them if from where they are and they will reply from Bacolod followed by, 'pero pirme ko ya sa Iloilo.'

Sa mga tga Bacolod da, dont say Ilonggo kamo, be proud to say Negrenses kamo. Bacolod sa Negros. Wala na sa Panay. Tga Aklan gani, they call themselves Akianon. kamo bala mo...

Im not familiar with karay-a pro na inchendihan ko. Not all Negrense understand Hiligaynon. We have to consider that the other half of the island use Cebuano as a dialect. Same is true with Panay :) mixkla pro ga hangpanay.
