JDM EP3-R: K20A

UKDM EP3-R: K20A2 (RSX Type-S also)

USDM EP3-Si: K20A3

Here is the difference in the type-r, and the usdm versions: Type-r= 215 hp, k20A, six speed gear box, 8300 rev limit, different body kit. USDM= 160 hp, K20A3 economy motor, V-TEC on intake cam only, five speed gear box, 6900 rpm rev limit.

Virtually no difference except that basically the US EP3 Civic Si is a de-tuned version of the JDM/UKDM EP3 Civic Type R.

ya the body are a little different. the type r has a k20a2 motor w/ a 8200 rpm redline while the si has the k20a3 motor with a 6700 or whatever rpm redline. type r also has a 6 speed tranny w/ an lsd. type r >>>>>>>>>> si

Yes, he is correct.

K20A's are in the 01+ Civic Type R HB. They are also in the DC5 Type R's, too.

There is a weak version in the J-Spec CRV's.

i thought that 05 civics have the k20a1 which has only one vtec cam shaft and only makes 160hp. you must have a swap or maybe you got your specs wrong. K20a3 is the 05 RSX Type S, but does not come standard in 05 Civics.

youre talking about the 2002 honda civic HB si with the k20a3. 05 rsx has the k20z1 cause thats what i have. The base Rsx (non type-s) has the k20a3 also only without the alum intake manifold.

The k20a1 is the motor in the DC5 Integra Type R and EP3 Type R in japan from what i remember...
