  • Your jamming is awesome!!

  • best roland drum machine alternative for sure

  • Comment removed

  • Does this take sync in form other groovebox stile machines? Can I sync it easily to my electribe ER1 or monomachine for example?

  • can it send trigger signal to control a sh-101 for example ?

  • Can you use this to trigger other synths lets say like a bass drum synth(because the one on the mfb 522.

  • amazin video! thank you

  • price?

  • which drum machine is the best from mfb???

  • @SiebzehnUndVier

To me it ist the MFB 503, because, the kick can sound harder, more 909ish.

But it´s a matter of taste, I think.

  • Another great demonstration!

    Cheers

    Dennis

  • dudz you just recreated the groove from the fresh prince of bel air theme song on the beginning

  • did you have the camera on your head? :)

  • can you trigger the sounds via external midi?

  • @Biopharmer sure!

  • hehe is ja niedlich das teil.

ist das gerät eigentlich auch mit ner midi-clock synchronisierbar?

  • @bnzo00

yes, for sure! playable via midi expander as well!

  • it may a stupid question but was software also annalogue on those computers? how dit they record audio and video on those annalogue computers.

is there realy no relation between analogue and digital components???????

    annyway thanks!!!!!

  • i ame looking for new hardware, the last i had was a Korg emx but that doesn't sound good, i have an E-MU 1616 sound card with the software like sonar le and cubase wavelab etc, but i ame thinking of buying the mfg 522 and the mfb synth 2 for my next setup, is this a good choise, cose the korg was good at sequensing but not good sounding.

  • it sounds good

  • is this only analog?

  • @offroadrc

    sure, fully analog!

  • thanks

  • Can you switch between different patterns while it's playing? (as on the 606)

  • @systray27

    yes, you can!

  • well to clarify, I meant while writing a pattern, can you just switch to another pattern you've written before without pressing the stop button?

  • @Mackaveli420

i never have problems to handle this.

feel free to get a damaged 808 for an exorbitant prize and go on tour with that heavy machine..

and feel more free to develop a better machine for a reasonable prize.

  • könntest du mal n video machen mit nemm freestyle pattern? also so typisch 80er (á la stevie b, egyptian lover,....) das wär genial!

  • @deft808

leider keine zeit dafür .. vielleicht jemand anderes?

  • Is this a circuit bent 502?

  • no .. its a new development!

  • Is this a good TR-808 alternative ?

  • well, I think your question can be answered in this next question. The question is; You hear that, right? :)

  • well a good cheap one at least - the price is great for what you get

  • sure .. isnt the same but sounds similar ;)

  • I'm getting one of these bad boys. Next pay day I have to order one. Gear lust has gotten the better of me again & this looks to be a very lust y littl machine :-)

  • I've just bought one of these. The thing is so damn small but its so cute. Haven't give it a go yet but I'm so looking forward to have a fiddle with this tomorrow.

  • that's it, i'm comin over..... *bolts out the door in slippers and housecoat

  • ahhhh....Housecoat....mmm ;-0

  • hey, will this send trigger out's, like a 707?

  • It does not output a trigger voltage but the separate audio outs of this little gem can be used to trigger the fab MFB drum modules from what I've heard.

I just realised that I forgot to say how excellent this demo is. Nice to hear how the lovely the Bass Kick is when tuned at the start and around 4 min's in when the clap filter is opening. The swing types are very funky also. A great 808 alternative I believe.

  • What's putting me off is the trouble you seem to have grabbing the knobs. Are they so slippery and tight?

Sound is very nice for the price, of course.

The Miami is more Pro oriented I guess.

  • I played with this (maybe even the same one) at the Schneidersbuero Superbooth. It is a great drum machine. And so cheap too.

  • English manual is on the MFB site now...Yipee, cool!

  • nice sounding module!

  • I need the manual in Scottish/English (not on MFB site yet).

  • yes, release will be in may 2009 !

  • Thanks thats great :)

  • Sound even better now!
