  • Silk Spectre looks like she could use a cigarette after that.

  • i dont get why everyone hates nite owl, leave the guy alone

  • Malin Akerman is so cool and hot in this movie

  • Great fight scene that didn't belong in this movie. Zack Snyder should direct Mortal Kombat or Spawn, not complex dramatic stories like Watchmen...Snyder THINKS SILK AND LEATHER ARE THE SAME THING!

  • hahahah rather poorly edited, after that kick-ass decent nite-owl makes from his spaceship, next scene: STAIRS, lets walk them!

  • watchmen it´s not a cool film, it´s a great film....

  • "(panting) we should definitely have sex after this" says Nite Owl at the end of this.

  • 2:06 anyone remember that from the 300 fight scene?

  • @DarayasUlthwe

I remember it from a bunch of different movies, not an original move.

  • Sorry i meant to say my top fav is The Departed(2006)

  • This movie is my second favorite..first for all who ask or wonder is The Departed (2006)

  • This video makes me want to play arkham city.

  • @durtdawg303 Doesn't it?? Lol

  • to be quite honest I was bored with half the movie with the exception of Rorschach and the Comedians story, but the fight scenes were awsome.

  • @griz312

    Same.

Rorschach and the Comedian are the only two characters I can stand. In the comics and in the movie.

  • Esses presidiários são masoquistas, so pode, quem é louco de querer sair no braço com o Batman e com a Mulher Gato ??...ops, quer dizer, com o Coruja e com a Espectra ?

  • Laurie's thighs look mouthwatering at 2:13. Eat her out then find Rorschach.

  • Slow-mo is annoying

  • If the fight scene wasnt all shot in freakin slow motion! I couldve connected with it! Lol! fight scenes need to be fast as well! It sends up your stamana! >.< I love that.

  • i love this film first reslitic superhero movie. god dam keyboard!

  • higly inpractical fighting clothing check

pose at end of every move check

    boner in my pants check

  • people complain about the ending not sticking 2 the graphic novel but a strange, squid-like, vagina monster just doesn't have a credible feeling of terror about it and also does not explain why the world would blame Dr Manhattan. i do, however think that the film missed a lot of what made the graphic novel. the directors cut was better but still missed a lot of the Rorschach interrogation as well as entirely missing the early minute men

  • If this movie focused more on fighting and A LITTLE less(don't get me wrong Alan Moore fans) on dialogues then it could have been a masterpiece.Don't get mad at me,this is just my point of view.

  • Nolan is great at story, Snyder is great at action. TOGETHER, who knows what will result

  • Batman and robin disliked this fight scene.

  • @promulgation rock music with slo mo montages? are u fuckin kiddin me?

    i disagree

  • Its funny. I can nearly picture these two as Batman and Catwoman. By the way, Catwoman is playable in the new Batman Archam City game.

  • This scene represented everything that was wrong with Snyder's adaptation: it was superficial and excessively violent. I sometimes wonder if a lot of the people who read the comic ever got the whole point of Moore's vision. He wanted to tone down the action sequences and focus on the characters. In the novel there are maybe two panels devoted to the "prison fight" and its just Nite Owl and Silk Spectre quickly taking down only TWO criminals at a door.

  • @ramonalejandrosuare i think a cross between the two versions would have been best. Beating just TWO people out of an entire prison full with guards AND prisonders is just plain unrealsitic, while having over 20 running at you seems kinda over the top too.

And THIS is the problem i have with most people who say book>movie. Everyone is valid to have an opinion on this matter, but they always sound like as if the book is perfect, which it certainly is not.

  • @Kibate You miss the point. Its not an issue of the book v. the movie or which one is better. The point is that latter is an ADAPTATION of the former and as such it should try to be faithful to its source material. This isn't 300. The MAIN artistic motivation underlying the comic was a minimalist and realistic look at the superhero genre. For the movie to so blatantly disregard this central aspect of Moore's vision in favor of such blatant theatrics is a slap in the face to the source material.

  • @ramonalejandrosuare And you missed my point. Even if it is an adaption, if it can be done better, it should be done. Just because its an adaption doesn't mean it should be 100% like the original, which is in pretty much EVERY case impossible. NOW wether this particular adaption is better or not is another matter, but to say it should be JUST like the movie is 1. impossible 2. stupid.

  • @Kibate This is a strawman argument. I never wrote everything should be 100% like the comic. For example, I dug the intro montage even though it wasn't in the comic. I am arguing that including graphic violence and theatrical action scenes runs counter to every artistic decision Moore/Gibbons DELIBERATELY made. When Synder did the opposite, he totally missed the comic's message. Adding extra whales in a Moby Dick movie to give it more action is shallow, not an "improvement". Same here.

  • @ramonalejandrosuare

It doesn't hurt to incorporate kinetic tones that are native to the field the novel is philosophical about. It helps to portray them as the superheroes they're supposed to be. It's also casts a savage grit that seperates it from the tame willingness of the typical comic film that lacks the balls to display the implications of it's chaos. Sin City, 300 and this have really liberated comics from the banal. Would you prefer Daredevil?

  • @Hzqi 1.) It does hurt when those "kinetic tones" (a euphemism for gratuitous action and violence) run contrary to the source material's minimalism. 2.) The annihilation of several million people by a hero's terror attack already gave the film "balls to display the implications of it's chaos". 3.) You last point is not only a fallacious appeal to the extreme but wrong. Snyder watered down Moore/Gibbons' uncompromising vision to present a more banal, Hollywood oriented film to mass audiences.

  • @ramonalejandrosuare

The only thing I wished was that the deeper aspects of the monologues weren't a little diluted. I can appreciate that running time doesn't allow free reign to yammer, but still. Some of Manhatten's and Rorschach's dialogue is sorely missed. The Pagliacci joke is so damned relevent to Joker.

  • @Hzqi What is the point of presenting deeper monologue when the whole film's moral and thematic quandaries were smoothed out by the same BS Hollywood editorializing that turns every nuanced and complicated piece of art into a black and white parody of itself? This is a film where the director willfully changes the ending to present a simplified caricature of Ozymandias as a one note-megalomaniac and Rorshach as this crusading martyr. Moore left the question open for us to decide.

  • soooo love this! Silk Spectre kicks ass <3

  • this is actually a great movie...

  • Idk, this scene really wasn't all that good.

  • @1:12 You see, I'm not convinced that getting the shit kicked out of me by Silk Spectre II is necassarily a bad thing...

  • "Tell me doctor, what do you see!?"

"I see pretty pink butterflies... and a semi-psycho badass vigilante."

  • did he kill the doctor?

  • @NicriCOy most likely no in the novel he dies in the nuke

  • Nite Owl is sooo awesome.... and personally Patrick Wilson looks GREAT with a few extra pounds on him...grr :)

  • why doesn't the cop in the booth turn into a lycan like he does in underworld lol. great film, badass scene. Rorschach is the best!!!

  • Some critics (not important ones) bashed the movie because it was too close to the novel, so it felt "restricted". Raging fanboys bashed the movie because they didn't get a giant Squid vagina monster in the movie along with other things that had to be cut and it still was a rather long movie. Ergo, critics don't know what they're talking about, and fanboys don't deserve to have any more great comic book movies.

  • ok ok...soo, did anybody else imagine Batman and Catwoman replacing those guys? EPIC!

  • @SirPotierJ I don't imagine that, I alwz call him Batman cause he's a cheap rip-off Batman =_=

  • Just glad that Rorschach didn't kill him, still bummed they both died though.

  • @Igarappappa cannon ending rorschach dosent die, that the alternet ending

  • @Artencot I know. I forget what I was talking about though.

  • damn they cut out the part where the doctor responds "KITTY CAT"

  • Reminds me of my weekly barfights.

  • with such kicks i hope her pussy doesnt tear up

  • i love that first punch that nite owl throws.

  • @Simps3210 I like it where he clothes lines that guy, who spins in the air... its pretty badass. I have to say I thought it made sense to make the human superheros as effective as the movie makes them - cos otherwise, they probably couldn't have become a big enough issue to be banned like they were

  • God, they're such losers. I was waiting for them to high five the whole scene.

  • The Watchmen film is everything I expected - a generic action film catering to the masses, the emphasis on violence instead of character development and plot.

The comic permits you to see things from multiple perspectives, e.g. thought bubbles/monologues. 12 volumes of Watchmen develops characters until you feel what they experience. How can a 2 hour film replicate this?

To add insult to injury they changed the plot, making it nonsensical and omitting meaning and substance.

    Read the comic.

  • @Jjdsds1 i disagree. i feel the movie excellently developed each character. I knew and felt each one and understood what they were all about. Honestly, the term :"generic action movie" is thrown around far too often.

  • All the fight scenes in this movie was ill.

  • am i remembering this wrong... i thought nightowl broke someones arm in this scene/??

  • @supermark69 Tha happened in an earlier scene where He and Spectre were on a date and a gang tried to mug them on the street

  • "We can't read your mind, but we can KICK YOUR ASS!"

  • Nolan: Take notes. This is how a Batman action scene should look.

  • @promulgation Totally agree!

  • @promulgation Nolan: Take notes. This is how a batman action scene should look, but without the huge slut and the huge pussy in an owl version of the bat suit.

  • @promulgation Corny, over-stylized and blatantly resemblant of 300? Nah, I prefer my brutal, realistic and gritty Nolan.

  • @FEpiano97 The entire premise of Batman is corny and unrealistic. Instead of being ashamed of making a film in the Batman franchise, Nolan should embrace the universe he takes places in. In real life, a billionaire with a batsuit would get killed on the first night of patrol.

  • @promulgation Not if he was a ninja

    That's the point!

  • @promulgation Thats because Zack Snyder > Nolan. Anytime.

  • @promulgation Haha they should just reskin Silk Spectre as Cat Woman and you've got a perfect Dark Knight Rises Scene

  • @promulgation nolan made the more real version of batman, which in my case is actually better sometimes-batman is human, and will eventually take a couple of hits every now and then, and it takes him a few times to get someone on the ground, but then might have to go back and take them down again, because he is only human

  • @promulgation Yer batman fight scenes are well choreographed but you just cannot see what is going on!

    Fucking fast camera actions.

  • Who didn't say "Oh... boy!" when Silk Spectre fell from the ship is gay.

  • Goes to show you, every one of the CrimeBusters is worth 100 men.

  • This scene kind of sucks. The fighting looks too...choreographed.

  • @Katyjen it's not nearly as bad as martial arts movies--particularly old ones.

  • @Katyjen i agree.

  • @Katyjen How is that bad???

  • @truespeed13 It doesn't seem natural. Choreographed-looking = fake, and totally ruined the cinematic thrill for me.

  • @gfr425 I counted several occasions nite owl should've broken his own knuckles or at least incurred strain in his wrists even with reinforced gloves.

  • 1:11 "FALCON KICK"

  • Where is there other fight in the street?

  • "Your turn, doctor. Tell me, what do you see?"

People were wrong, this movie isn't bad. That's a badass line that wasn't in the book.

  • @catvault27 It's not so much that it was bad--it wasn't--as that people were predisposed to dislike it by Moore's remarks about adaptations. This includes Zack Snyder, right up until he realized that they might go with a director who would give it much less respect than he would.

  • @catvault27 anybody that thought it was bad was not familiar with the source material

  • @lanemorse666 Or perhaps they didn't like that an amazing story was reduced to a mainstream action film, completely losing all substance and changing crucial aspects of the plot, including the ending.

Have you even read the 12 volume 'Watchmen' graphic novel?

  • @catvault27

This might have it's faults, but I'd say it's an overall improvement on the book.

  • @AmazingL4rry

    Agreed.

  • @catvault27 acttualy it was

  • @catvault27

People said it was bad?! WTF?!

  • I love how they don't have powers, but they just beat the living shit out of people.

  • why is batman in it lmao.

  • Oh wow I would so let silk spectre kick my ass! XD

  • @chasedailey Couldnt agree with you more.

  • @Taspearl As far as I know a reason is never actually given in the movie/book but I should think clothes are perfectly superfluous to someone like him. As you see he only wears them when he needs to go out in public (the funeral... the inverview) so as to not to offend anyone. But otherwise why would an all-powerrful being, who has been witness, as he said to events so microscopic that they barely happened at all, that can see the past and future need clothes? They're decoration. Pointless.

  • @CheshireMara

Hey, it describes in the graphic novel why he wears them, in order to not offend everyone and to try and give a professional look

  • @orangeblanketoftrust Oh it does? Hmm must have missed it. Oh well, at least I got it right :P

  • If you look closley, Silk Spectre's heels magically turn flat then back into heels at 1:25

  • @Yumi12012 Just noticed this too!

  • @chasedailey

Doc. M. also says, late in the comic, that he doesn't think there is a god at all. Which doesn't stop him sloping off to create some life of his own elsewhere in the universe. Which, come to think, would pretty much make him god. If it quacks like a duck and paddles like a duck, there's an excellent chance it is in fact an Anseriformes of the Anatidae family.

  • what's with his mask ? and what is his power ?

  • @MaxPower30au Without the mask, Rorschach feels as if he's incomplete. He isn't "Rorschach" without it. The mask is, to him, his true face. And Rorschach doesn't have a power. No one in Watchmen really has a power except for Dr. Manhattan, the glowing blue guy.

  • @UselessRambling the ozzy dude kind of does in the movie

  • @MrThenFamous Well, yeah, in the movie...But I don't really count that considering there are plenty of people in history who were really smart or really strong like him.

  • @UselessRambling

I don't know about that. I thought the Watchmen didn't age.

  • @chasedailey its mentioned in the quran that a man with a ring on his forhead is going to have the same powers as god and he will say that hes god but only real belliver in islam will know that hes fake and he cant enter mekkah i think the director based the blue man on that charcter

  • Do they have like some source of super human strength? Coz they just own the fight.

  • Why are the prisoners all asian? T^T

  • lol a guys hiding in his cell at 1:57

  • @SuperMicklovin

    ROFL

  • SPLIK SPECTRA 2 : how do we now hes still alive (massacred dead body on the floor )

NIGHT OWL 2 : hes alive

WELL MAKES SENCE I MEAN ROSARCH IS A REALYYYYYYY BADDD ASS

    MUTHER FUCKER !!!

  • "Tell me, what do you see?"

    "A badass..."

  • @chasedailey The approach is more "realistic" than a marvel or DC comic but again as you used it is not realism a blue god-like man. They just nerfed the heroes a little bit giving them human flaws and making it more interesting to watch

  • she sooo curb-stomped him at 1:10. Gold.

  • now that's HD.

  • They way she walks at 1:14 is soooooo BADASS!!!!

  • @syko567890

    totally

  • 01:56 owned, you just lost your balls.

  • could manhatten change the shape of the universe to an ice cream cone

  • WHERE'S MY FACE!!?!

  • 1:56 the quickest combat

  • OWL PUNCH!!!!!!

  • Tell me, Doctor...

    (puts mask on)

    What do you see...?

  • If this is Nite Owl now an out of shape super hero i'd sure hate to see what he was like back in the day

  • A long hallway with enemies coming, beating one by one in slow motion ending with one flying just to be slamed to the ground by the hero's arm. They missed the part of the spear.

  • 1:55....... just awesome.....

  • 2:03 oh my...nice move

  • A hot chick dressed like a whore in a prison. Riiiiiiiight!

  • is it me...or is the 300 leg punisher a popular move right now? the one where the sweep the feet out from under the guy and as hes falling a punishing blows comes down on them like the hand of god.

  • The coolest part is how they smile at each other. LOL.

  • i like how laurie's shoes change from high heeled boots to flat boots between takes, keep an eye out for that ;D

and this was only extended by a few seconds, maybe 30 at max, why not keep it in? it was an epic 30 seconds XD

  • This fight scene was in the original theatrical release. The title of this video clip is misleading.

  • No one does racism like Hollywood.

  • 'tell me wat do you see ??'' BAD ASSSSSSSSSS

  • ok guys, who just came? *raises hand*

  • - How do we know he's still alive?

    (dead body on the floor)

    - He's alive.

  • Comment removed

  • man with all these kick ass directors cut scences it makes the oringal watchman movie with all these cut outs look like a horrable movie

  • whats the name of the song?

  • Damn, the inmates got owned. XD

I gotta have this movie. Sounds epic as hell.

  • 1:40 sick move

  • WHERE'S MY FACE?

  • Watchmen had the best fight scenes. While the Matrix had great choreography, Rorschack was just plane fucking dirty.

  • - How do we know he's still alive?

'dead body on the floor surrounded by blood) - He's alive.

  • I know this comment has been posted about a million times already, but I just gotta say it: If a woman walked into a prison, and she looked like the Silk Spectre, the last thing on my mind would be fighting her.

  • @phxsns1

It would if the same person put you to prison where you get raped by your inmates daily.

  • The punch at 1:56 is hilarious and awesome at the same time.

  • I would like to see Rorschach vs. Oldboy

  • i love thes fuckind movie

  • I freaking love Slow-Motion!

  • the fighting is kinda cheasy, not like in his earlier movie 300.

  • your turn doctor. Tell me, what do you see?

  • this music is so generic, and out of place with the rest of the soundtrack

  • 1:57. looks like he smashed that guy's balls into oblivion!

  • @TheChadddddddddd I think you're right...

  • Comment removed

  • the last thing that chinese man thought before being kicked in the chest was ive never been so turned on in my life

  • can you put the part when they show music with the minutemen and watchmen

  • I love how Nite Owl just clothesline that guy so easily

  • that is not a directors cut

  • my favouritepart is i'm notlocked

  • I feel so bad for the doctor !!!

  • Truth is, no female vigilante would wear high heels in the real world, one of the things Watchmen overlooks.

I think Silk Spectre/Laurie they should have been less faithful to the comic, because Alan Moore can't write female characters very well.

  • When there's a disembowed corps and corps with pieces of a toilet bolw lodged in its skull on the ground, its pretty obvious who's responsible

  • 1.15 FATALITY!!!

  • Damn, I would have rather seen Rorschach fight all those prisoners. Who agrees that'd be way better

  • That fight scene kinda sucks, not gonna lie.

  • 1:50 SICK COMBO

  • I think I see some 52 Hand Block (Jailhouse Rock Style Fighting) from some of the prisoners.

  • Rorschach>super hero whore, Gay batman, and big blue queer.

  • Tell me doctor...

    What do you see?

  • Women CAN be great martial artists-- if they have enough muscle. Silk Spectre should have a lot more of that after training to fight like she can, but hey, it's a movie. Sadly, only skinny girls get to be in movies like this.

  • It's never gonna come out anyway but fascinating to me how Silk Spectre II is able to kick ass the way she does on those heels.

  • @cassylvira you know, after reading your comment, i noticed that in the first scene, at 0:09, she has heels, but when she's fighting the prison inmates, her shoes are *mysteriously* flat!

  • @chasedailey *LOL*....

  • wow that was badass

  • whats the song in the background
