can't believe this is the first time i've seen this vid. i am so guilty. superb vid. very original style, and impressive counters! i admire your skills! good job!!
As I have written above, pay close attention to the very last part of the cutscene after the final boss (before going on to the Ending theme, that is).
What does the sign tell, also, to whom, when Olivia is chasing Gene?
And lastly, who wrote the Kick Me sign in the first place?
Considering these points, watch the scene again and you will see what it implies.
Just picked this game up today, I just got up to her on normal and got my ass kicked 50 times :)
I'm getting better at the combat system though, and also like how I don't have to chain yanker - guard break + God hand abuse every fight to pwn people :)
God hand is seriously AWESOME and reminds me a lot of dmc - the game I'm actually good at ;)
Glad to hear that you are considering to purchase this game. It's always nice to have a fellow gamer for this type of underrated game.
"Kick Me" sign, which is sticked on the back of Gene (main character), flies away when you use his GODHAND capabilities, namely God Reel (Roulette) or GODHAND unleash.
Because of this, there is a restriction play you can attempt, in which you don't use these two abilities AT ALL in order to keep the "Kick Me" sign sticked on his back throughout the game.
You don't have to attempt this, but you might want to attempt it once you get used to standard playthrough on any of the difficulties.
But mind you, Kick Me sign playthrough on Hard mode is beyond extreme, which would get you a lot of effort to get through. But when you managed to clear the game, the Kick Me sign has a little meaning at the last part of the cutscene (after beating the final boss).
Anyway, I never used God Roulette ability or GODHAND unleash in this video, that's all =p
It almost seems like it goes faster without guard break. In my experience, when I go for the standard "two hits+guard breaker" routine, she constantly spams her sparkly attacks (the ones you can't interrupt), making the fight take forever.
You are right, most of the time you miss guard breaker, you attract more likelihood of her going for those magic attacks. (Just like your usual enemies trying to counter against you when you miss it)
And as for me, I found it is more fun to fight with no guard break rather than spamming the "two hits + guard break" routine like many others do, because there's nothing more satisfying than knocking down the enemies' pride by countering the attacks that they are proud of =p
Speaking of the sparkly attacks you are talking about, you CAN actually interrupt the one that she casts the flashy field surrounding her.
You just have to give your attack just as the flash occurs, that's pretty much it. (I found easier to do it with some of the Punch Rush series, such as Floating Butterfly)
But I was not doing it in this video because I didn't want to take a risk of getting hit and start the recording all over again =p

I beat the game with the KMS and I don't remember there being any special ending. Can you tell me about it?

Didn't know you could dodge her AOE blast by backdodge at 1:45-1:50. Nice!
