  • looks like a band from ha'apai?

    great banjo lead though.

  • The band is from Vaotu'u.The song is about the hurricane that strike Ha'apai in 1961.

The Governor of Ha'apai at the time who was Vaea ('Alipate).

The people of Ha'apai presented their polopolo (kahokaho yams) and gifts to the Late Queen on her 61st birthday at the Royal Palace on the 13th March, 1961.

They returned back to Ha'apai on the very next day and a hurricane blew up and the crew took refuge at the island of Ha'afeva, but their boat, Fanga-i-Lifuka, was lost.
