I really like Bale as Batman, but.....the voice. It's quite awful. Even embarrassing in certain scenes. It's not good when people are snickering during serious scenes when Batman is growling his lines. He needs to back off a bit in the next movie.

I agree. think about it: IT'S BATMAN! This is the real Batman, a dark tormented anti-hero-kind of hero. He won't kill but that doesn't mean he'll act noble and snooty. Batman's a vigilante which means he's not afraid to scare his enemy, to punch them for the sake of getting the job done. He's there to do stuff cops under the law usually can't. This is the REAL Batman, not the campy Adam West portrayal. I did notice he was a little... out of breath but... Bale did a good job. Leave it at that.
