  • If everything and everyone in America came from a foreign country (except Native Americans obviously) then the whiskey's and scotch's made in America certainly must have come from traditions and recipes of their ancestors. And many age-old traditions passed down had to evolved into what is made today because their recipes were limited to whatever resources available at the time.

  • Try Makers Mark ,Elijhia Craig and Knob Creek, all respected American whiskys..

  • screw this 39 second videos... :(

  • expert village is producing very bad videos, what a shame..if you do something do it good, or change a name to bollockvillage :)

  • hey dumbasses....you do realize whiskey was invented here in america? yeah...so take your trash talk somewhere else! Jack Daniel perfected whiskey!

  • @GTATLJAKE1

USA is a great country where many things have been invented. However, Whisky was invented 400 years before America's colonisation by the europeans. If anyone here doesn't agree with me then i suggest you to open yourself to something very interesting called history...

I used to work in USA during 4 years and i noticed that people have a very good knowledge of their own history but i was surprised by their lack of general culture. It seems like they think they've created everything!

  • Scots are the best bar none at the art of distilling. However being an American i got to support my country, Jack Daniels all the way.

  • This guy's a whiskey expert and he doesn't know about Jim Beam or Wild Turkey? I mean, I could understand if he didn't know about Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey, but Jim Beam especially--that's a pretty big name in bourbon.

  • didn't jack daniels have scotish ancestors?

  • pepsi WTF ??? get outta here with that

  • why he says its not saf whith pepsi?

  • The popularity of Jack D has ruined whiskey for so many of us in the US. People actually believe JD is THE thing to buy, when for a few dollars more there are Scottish masterpieces on the same shelf.

  • @marky2112 Real whiskey fans know that Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is their mixable whiskey, whereas their better products--Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel--are best served straight. I get what you mean though.

  • @badfinger848

Well...real whiskey fans don't drink Jack Daniels dude.

  • @philippemichaud1980 real whiskey fans drink whatever whiskey they like. If you think Jack D is bad you've probably never had it before.

  • @philippemichaud1980 Well it has won awards around the world so it must not be too bad..

  • Only whisky i can do a couple of shots real fast with, then go eat cicis lol

  • Maybe we should all as American's be like this asshole and just not bother with scotch the arrogant fuck!I like scotch but not better than a good bourbon like Bulleit,Knob Creek,Maker's Mark,Pappy Van Wenkle,Woodbridge,Sazarac and Baffalo Trace all exceptionally smooth and good feel. Some scotches taste like somebody put out their white owl cigar in a glass of whiskey, especially those damn Islay and Mull island whisky's.When somebody obsesses scotch like some do it gets stupid and this guy sucks

  • This is probably the most pointless video I've ever seen.

  • @MattBeckstrom yeah all he does is basically show a bottle of jack and say this is jack daniel's an american whiskey.

  • @1RDP1 Because there's nothing else to say about that Whiskey!

  • @MattBeckstrom but it did have jack d in it... so it made me thirsty

  • This is probably the most pointless video I've ever seen.

  • I like a good scotch, but I'm a rye (Canadian whisky) man

  • Apparently people who bash bourbon have never had a good bourbon. There are some out there that are absolutly fantastic. Buffalo Trace is one of my favorites, especially for its price. It's sweet, smokey, and smooth with big vanilla and a hint of tobacco. And then there's others out there that are even better such as Pappy Van Winkle's 20 Year old. I'm not saying that bourbon is better than scotch by any means, I'm just saying some prefer it's taste.

  • I was surprised too "IloveAlexisBledel68", but it wasn't anything special.

  • George Dickel is my favorite whiskey ever made, it is also a Tennesse product, but most don't know the name

  • @soicuw I just had some the other day and I agree with you it's excellent it tasted almost like a bourbon to me. I personally can't stand JD. I think it's a terrible whiskey. I think it's success has more to do with it's grossley funded advertisement campaign than sheer quality of taste.

  • stranahan's colorado whiskey mmmmmm good stuff almost takes on charateristics of scotch but no pete plus its made from 100% malted barley

  • Many Scotches are good, not all. American Whiskeys are decent. Old American whiskey casks get shipped to Scotland after they get used, so they get more American whiskey in them than they really know.

I think one of the best whiskeys under 30 dollars are The Tyrconnell (Irish) and Yamazaki by Suntory (Japanese).

  • @brainjesus There you go. Sophistication at it's finest: "will give you a terrific drunk". I am American and embarrassed that hicks and fucking hillbillies in our country could think like this. Scotch and Irish whisky is far superior to bourbon. If you have to mix it with something it's not good.

  • stfu or i'll skullfuck yo momma

  • @brainjesus I ass fucked your bald fat grandmother.

  • impossible. they're ash.

...and i raped your dad with a broken broomstick...he really liked it...

  • @Jboxton American Bourbon is well liked by many Brits and Irish, but I think the Terrific Drunk remark is silly also..

  • this jackass talks about jack daniels like its crap its a good whiskey and its not expensive

but the single barrel is some realy good stuff but its a bit more expensive

  • Just what we need, yet another flocking "expert". He say he runs a bar, and yet he says: "Americans? Oh, they make whiskey too. They make Jack Daniels, usually drank with coca cola. I think they make other whiskeys as well, but I can't remember". He's obviously never heard of Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, etc. What the flock is he doing working in a bar??? Grade: F (NOT an "expert") Stars: 1

  • hey hey put subtittles on yous vids men!! :D

  • For those who don't know. Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee Whiskey. Some people make the mistake of calling it a Bourbon. It is not a Bourbon. It is not a Bourbon because of the way it is made. It is a Tennessee Whiskey, not a Bourbon

  • yep jim beam is burbon the JD is whiskey

  • I was very surprised with Jack Daniel's taste... I was expecting some cheap Boubon taste but it's very smooth and mellow.

An interesting Whisky, even for a Single malt fan.

  • Americans are interesting that way. Bourbon isn't really a "tough guy" beverage in the sense that it's fairly smooth and easy on the taste buds. The best Scotch, by comparison, would be something coarse and tough to swallow, like Chivas Regale. But in America, Dewar's is sometimes more popular, because it's "smooth" and easier for people with less rugged tastes to drink.

  • smooth is such a bullshit compliment for a spirit if u ask me XD

  • @IloveAlexisBledel689

taste like banana juice....not a whiskey: bourbon

  • How is this the history or Jack Daniels?

  • Maker's Mark Bourbon spells it Whisky, because of their Scottish heritage.

  • southren comfort is carmel flavered whiskey the 100 proof is the best but i still prefer sour mash over any of the whiskeys its not rotgut.

  • This guy doesn't teach you anything about whisky... everything he says is common sense or can be found on the labels.

  • LOL, this guy is a scotch guru, you can't compare scotch with American Whiskey. It's like comparing Ferrari with Hyundai... He was just pointing out that the Americans also try to make scotch but that they can't do it properly, lol.

  • I agree :D

  • Well said, my good man.

    ~Frosty.

  • @NAPALMJUNKY The thing is Jack daniels isnt trying to be a scotch. It isnt even trying to be a bourbon. JD is a tennessee whiskey(literally). JD isnt trying to be something its not. It is its own type of drink.

  • man.... he didnt say anything about the whiskey. I love to drink my Jack straight. No coke necessary.

  • I agree, why mix out the great taste with coke?:S.

  • 1914: Gold medal awarded during the Anglo-American Exposition in London, England.

1915: The Certificate of the Institute of Hygiene was presented to Jack Daniel's in London, England.

1954: The Star of Excellence awarded Jack Daniel's in Brussels, Belgium.

1981: Gold medal with palm leaves from Institut Pour Les Selections De La Qualite, Amsterdam.

  • LOL! Even the cheapest non-tasting shitty spirits got medals and shit on the labels on them to be able to sell anything, or just to defend themself from critics. The most ugly example is the tanduay rhum from the Philippines (sold for not even 1 US dollar/ litre) that got medals from "Paris world distillers blaha" and Berlin, dating back to the 1800's etc. HAHAHAAHAHA.. Also the thai whiskey, the "mekong" has some nice medals on the label.. Says absolutley nothing about the content.

  • what a pretentious douche.

1904: First gold medal won by Jack Daniel's Whiskey at the World's Fair in St. Louis.

1905: First international gold medal won by Mr. Jack in Liege, Belgium.

1913: Lem Motlow entered Jack Daniel's Whiskey and won this gold medal in Ghent, Belgium.

  • southern comfort

  • Southern Comfort is actually a whiskey-flavored liqueur that is neutral spirit based. It is not whiskey nor is it based on whiskey. ;-)

  • cool
