Have you listened to 12 Girls Band yet? Have you listened to their piece, Tang Dynasty Ensemble? It seems like you have a prejudice against Chinese people - if that is the case, come out and say it and stop beating around the bush. Then, I will know that I should just stop talking to you.

  • @photolitherland

And what I meant was the we will focus on culture later - we are already developing some, but economic development is key - unlike you Americans and Europeans, we are only doing it now, so cut us some slack.

  • @photolitherland

You must have been listening to a bad selection. Look for good music like this, and you will find them. For example, I recommend 12 Girls Band - "Tang Dynasty Ensemble".

  • @photolitherland

Give it some time - Chinese right now focus on development, we will develop culture later when our economy has good basis and everyone in the country in sharing the fruits of economic development. If you hate the music, bring your own next you go to Beijing. I know that Michael Phelps listened to Eminem on his iPod at the Olympics.

  • smells full of chinese. Hey innerMongolians! If you guys make a video about mongol culture, then have to sing in Mongolian!!!!

Singing in chinese and wearing mongol clothes. WTF?

  • @MGLomerta

Sir, they do that so that Chinese people in rest of country can understand - it is called mass appeal. Not only for Han, but also Hui Muslims, Salars, Tibetans, Zhuang - people who don't understand Mongolian. Otherwise, they will only have small market penetration. Singing is nice, but they depend on it to make a living, like singers in other countries (US for example). So cut them some slack.

  • @MGLomerta

By the way, Buren Bayaer does sing many songs in Mongolian. They are on youtube.

  • @photolitherland go fuck urself arsehole moron

  • i´d loved this song ,!

  • nice song

  • Great song, I thought it was sung in Mongolian. I wish I could understand what were the words, but I still enjoy it

  • nice song...

  • I'm not Mongolian but this song was nice..Chandman is a great singer. 那么好听的。。谢谢你跟我们分享这首歌!

  • Oops I mean, like Chandman is another great singer lol.

  • He looks Han to me... Is he ethnic mongolian?

  • Definitely Mongolian. Have you seen his interview in Outer Mongolia?

  • nice song

  • Guys, we live in 2008. Whatever happened in Yuan dynasty or Qing dynasty, it all in the past --- fact NOW is that Chinese are pretty much mixed with all kinds of ethnics... north China, lot of people have mongolian blood...(even sometimes they officially recongize as Han ethnic)...we should love each other and contribute to our lovely motherland. That's all.

  • I couldn't agree with you more. Well said.

  • What's wrong with that? I love Mongolians. They are very honest, friendly and simple people.

  • I luv the song!!! very much.

  • the only suggestion i would give the chinese govt is it didnt genocide the ppl

  • its funny u say that symmetry because why would chinese ppl be controlled by mongolians or manchurians as third or fourth class citizens im sure the majority also despise ur kind and is laughing right now seeing what goes around comes around

btw it wasnt manchurians it was the yuan dynasty guy himself made mongolia chinese

  • love mongolian songs!!!

  • nice song...

  • mongols never being controlled by chinese before 1900. That was Manchus not chinese. Chinese were 4th and 3 rd class citizen, if manchu killed chinese, he went to jail but didn't get executed. North mongolians speak pure mongolian language. South mongolians heavely influenced by chinese degredation.

Same as tibet mongols in china would be happy to decide their own fate and destination. Who wants to be told and to be taken their own natural resources where they used to live before anybody came.

  • Your statement is not true. The Mongolian ancestors were a small tribe during Han Dynasty period, and was controlled first by the Han Dynasty. It fought along side the Han Dynasty against the common enemy - the Huns. Later it was controlled by the Khitan, Xianbei, etc. Over the years it absorbed many minor tribes, gradually gaining strength, and called itself the Tartar (the powerful or the wonderful) people.

  • try to read some history book from abroad about Mongolians. this will help you.

  • Where did you hear that? If Manchu killed Han Chinese, of couse he will be executed. People were valued by the Qing Emperor, otherwise he would have been over thrown long time ago. The majority of Han population supported the Qing Emperor because he brought pease and prosperity to the country, better than the previous Ming Dynasty, which is arguably the worst Chinese Dynasty.

  • Thanks a lot for the clip as for the lyrics/translations! Very nice! :-)

  • 1.Inner-Mongolian(China) population is 4,500,000.

    Outer-Mongolian(Mongolia) population is 2,500,000.

    2.Inner-Mongolian(China) use traditional mongolian language.

    Outer-Mongolian(Mongolia) language base on Russian.

3.People in Inner-Mongolia(China) are more rich than Outer-Mongolian(Mongolia) people.

4.Mongolian were controlled by Chinese for 600-year.

Chinese were controlled by Mongolian only 89-year.

so,how do you think about this?

    Outer-Mongolian guys?

  • you know if you sing mongolian song in some different language it sounds like very much degraded song. Specially mongols wouldn't like it unless you brainwashed by some blooded handed regime.

  • You know that guy made a great job. That guy translated song that Chinese could understand and feel the genuine beauty of the Mongol culture. Proud of this. Mongol culture, language, people are awesome!

  • Smooth flowing melody.

  • and people of ur race only know how to post retarded racist comments on the internet?

  • and of course u ain't chinese.

    I won't let u disgrace my race ;P

  • u r stupid anyway, and is a disgrace to whatever race u belong to

  • fuck off racist

  • I luv this song!

  • great!

  • 父亲的草原母亲的河

    词:席慕容 曲:乌兰托嘎

    父亲曾经形容草原的清香

Father used to describe the fragrance of the plains

    让他在天涯海角也从不能相忘

A scent that followed him to the edges of the world

  • 席慕容 is a great poet ;P

  • thanks you very much for posting the translation! I will put it on the video info section.

Because of excessive spamming a couple of months ago, I had set the comment section to be "upon approval", and I didn't know people were making comments here.

But now the comment section is set on "automatic", so welcome to voice your opinion, everyone!

  • =] saves my time to post out the lyrics again!

This mongolian singer is so good that I got his album!

  • 母亲总爱描摹那大河浩荡

Mother always spoke of the turbulence of the river

    奔流在蒙古高原我遥远的家乡

Raging through the Mongolian steppes, my distant home

    如今终于见到这辽阔大地

Now that I finally come to see this great land

    站在芬芳的草原上我泪落如雨

Tears rain down my face as I stand on these fragrant plains

  • 河水在传唱着祖先的祝福

The river sings of the prayers of the forefathers

    保佑漂泊的孩子,找到回家的路

Blessing the prodigal son to find his way home

    啊!父亲的草原

    Ah, father's plains

    啊!母亲的河

    Ah, mother's river

  • 虽然己经不能用母语来诉说 Though I can no longer express them in my mother tongue 请接纳我的悲伤我的欢乐 Please accept my feelings of sorrow and joy 我也是高原的孩子啊 I, too, am a son of the steppes 心里有一首歌 There is a song in my heart 歌中有我父亲的草原母亲的河 It sings of my father's plains and my mother's river. Original translation by CS.
  • I luv ur translations, wanna make a friend?

  • Hmong people moved to China from Hmongolia and found China before Chinese moved from Manchuria down in North Est to merg in Center, then

expensed wider in China. Thats why causing conflict or war, so Hmong people moving to Laos, Vietnam, Berma and Thailand!

  • OMG! so beautiful!!

  • 怎麼是唱漢語的?

  • I love Mongolian singing. Awesome voices. They also sound very good singing in Chinese with strong voices and pleaseant melody.

  • WOW! Great song, but if he is singing about Inner Mongolia why he is not singing it in Mongolian? The boy on 2.55, the girl on 4.20 and the elder women on 1.40 are looks pure Mongolian, all others looks with some chinese blood mixture.

  • That's because this song was not written by him, LOL. This song was written by a Mongolian woman living in Taipei, who after been to Mongolia, saddened by the fact that she could no longer speak Mongolian, wrote this song.

  • Let me guess, she's the daughter of Qian De-men (can't recall his Mongolian name).

  • Nevermind, her name is 席慕容, a Mongol from Taiwan. 慕容 (Murong) is a Xianbei (proto-Mongolian) clan name.

  • FREE INNER MONGOLIA

  • That is not true!

U must read more books and than u will se what is right about that

  • i like this song.i like my hometown.

  • I don't think your opinion is correct. You should read some chinese history.

  • No, I think you should look futher, into chinese history. I know what I'm talking about, My people were in china long before you chinese. It's a fact. In.....Chinese history.

  • People will be one family if you like to trace human history...hihi.

  • you said this because you are Han.

  • so you'd be eating your cousins many times removed at dinner if you trace life's history.

    -.="

  • Go watch watch porn or something.

  • I live in China, and I can assure you, my mother is in no way kidnapped. What you typed: is it part of some scary family background? I bet you live in Iran. And please return the poor woman you kidnapped. Thank you.

  • Not really. China only had 400million at the turn of 20th century. It was actually because of Russian influence (Heroic Mother Movement) after WWII that China was so fond of at the time, caused Chinese population to explode to 1 billion. Chinese soon realised the error, and introduced the 1 child policy to restrict the population growth.

  • <吉祥3宝>就是他唱的吧!

  • yep ... that's him :)

  • i wonder who the singer? he good! and the lady as well.

  • The singer is bayal(巴雅尔 ). He is good. But none knows who is the lady. I guess she is his assistant. I tried to learn the song. You can search lege888 to find the song that I made. I used his music to start, and I changed a little style.
