What he actually said is that, taking as truth the premise that there is a true god, the fact that the bible is the most popular of the religious texts means that it is supported by said true God. Of course that doesn't PROOVE anything, even if you believe that dubious premise; If an omnipotent being actually wanted to be popular, he could appear to everyone, at once, all the time.
I honestly think we shouldn't take religion in the world seriously. Keep it in your mind if you want, but don't try to enforce it upon others. If there's anything mankind should be working towards at the moment, it should be improving the world we're in for the benefit of all creatures instead of worrying about the afterlife or whatever comes after death.
Personally, I think we win either way: If there's an afterlife, whoop-dee-doo, I doubt any sensible god would even consider sending one to hell, so we win in that scenario.

What I've noticed from the more, um, "popular" atheists here on YouTube, is that they all have a rather Negative, and downright spiteful personality. What it seems to me is that with atheism, there is no basis for value or conduct. In that, I believe that without religion, the world would be even more fucked up than it is now.

Many atheists, and I'm sure over 70% of them believe to NOT believe in God because if they believed, then it would hold them accountable for their actions. Atheists and non-believers would be begging for order in this world if there were no faith, no righteous paths to follow, etc. If I'm not correct about my faith, and the atheists are correct, then I have nothing to worry about, now do I? Many atheists, and I'm sure over 70% of them believe to NOT believe in God because if they believed, then it would hold them accountable for their actions.
