@Dinamite0815 That's true, but you have to remember it's very difficult to swing block as a middle when 1. you are an outside hitter. 2. You have no outside blocker to set up the block and 3. You have no hitter to line up with. That said, you are perfectly right. If I had to do it again, I'd shoot the video solving all 3 of those elements.
@StarCo11 The arm swing when executed properly will add inches to your vertical. I also encourage my players to feel their shoulders touch their ears to ensure they have maximized their reach.
@dsw40291 yeah i know this increase vertical jump...but in volleyball it's all about time...better focus on player who attack...look at him...and jump after he hit...if you will make this youll never block...you also don;t have time to put your hands properly! So in most cases it will be a block out!
Keep the hands at your chest...make the steps(correctly)...STOP(wait for hit) and Jump!
@5immabeast You're not being cute by being a bitch. You may have some serious skill but no one's going to acknowledge that if you're bragging about it left and right. Get over yourself.
@Westmate Maybe for an unskilled middle. She's a sophomore in high school, demoing this block footwork (without an outside hitter). I'll give you that she doesn't quite close but her foot is centimeters from where it needs to be. If there were an outside hitter present, they would set up the block. But since there isn't, this blocker is going out to about where she'd imagine and outside blocker to be.
@Volleyball1on1Videos Good call out. This is the first thing I learned in blocking. I will always remember it because I had a hard coach, and also really bad shoes that hurt my toes when I did it wrong, lol
Isn't perfect because she doesn't stay still in the air !
She fly with the runway, thats dangerous !

You're drifting too far, make sure to plant the outside foot then jump

The footwork is bad... Sorry! She is not getting her last outside foot around on the final step! So coach it is not good!
