That is just about the coolest thing I have ever seen. And I have seen many a cool things in my life! For instance, I once saw a bear. Yep a bear. It was really cool, too. OK so maybe that wasnt that impressive. I've seen many things, much cooler than a bear....I just cant think of them off of the top of my head. I did see a wild boar once.....well at least I think it was.....It was too dark out. But I heard it...and I kinda got some glances of something that sort of looked boar like. Yep. Cool.
Who would actually believe that this is my video done during my MS thesis(2 yrs back) at Mizzou. I don't even know who uploaded it to youtube. But I'm really happy to see 55K hits. Thanks everybody who watched.

I was walking and stumbled, and my face landed on my keyboard, and somehow the particles in the universe combined to direct me to this page. Also, my face hurts.
Hydrophobic means that it repels water at an atomic level. It does not "get wet". Note that non-polar liquids, such as oil, can still stick to materials like this.
this is so cool!

It's crazy to learn about all this stuff in school and then actually see it, when you know why it is happening.

I saw a dust particle... on the left side of the screen... it fell, went into the over-exposure of the light, then landed on the surface!

@riberet25, I wish S&T could produce footage this good. We might actually be considered an actual Science and Technology university.

It would be nice to see a comparison with a regular surface, but this is pretty badass.
SenorRonBurgundy 1 year ago
So a hydrophobic surface does not disrupt the tension of water drops? Amazing

That was pretty sweet.

As a stumbler, I have to disagree. I'm not one of the idiots that posts that they've stumbled upon a video.

They put the yay in Gangopadhyay.
Why do people put "stumbled" in their comment. No one really cares that you had to use an addon to find the video.
