match Lu Bu up to Sun Quan ( history wise ) or Zhou Yu, or even Xiahou Dun, and you have a good match... also Zhiang Wei, he would match Lu Bu

@fuzzymummy Thank you. I was not sure myself. I agree with you on that. Tadakatsu Honda is also loyal unlike Lu Bu, but you have a point though. I think Tadakatsu Honda is stronger than Lu Bu and has an advantage over him as well. Zhao Yun is a great warrior. I always admired him in the Romance of the Three Kingdom. The first time I played Dynaasty Warriors I chose Zhang Fei and then Guan Yu and then Zhao Yun. Liu Bei and his kingdom are my favorite. I have the book Romance of the 3 Kingdom.

I'm fine with those 3. Im surprised you didn't include the Qaio sisters and Diao Chan. I'd replace those 2 for Yan Liang and Wen Chou to give Yuan Shao's army some decent spotlight. Then Gao Shun to support Lu Bu.

- Cao Hong, Yue Jin and Yu Jin deserves some as well...But Cao Cao's army already has alot of playable generals.

According to ROTK, Yue Jin and Yu Jin were two of the Five Generals of Wei, making them the only two characters who were highly reveered by one of the kingdoms who dont actually have a character model in Dynasty Warriors.

Indeed. Liao Hua is a very importanat general in my opinion, I'm glad you mentioned him. Like I said though, Lu Bu never fought the Three Brothers histroically. There never was a Battle of Hu Lao Gate. At the time ROTK states the battle took place (191 A.D), Liu Bei and his brothers were fighting off Yellow Turban rebels in the north.

Historical Events, ROTK events, and DW events are different stuff. But since the game is DW and its closest reference is from the novel, then yeah Lu Bu is portrayed as nearly unstoppable.

- There's also a lot of stuff that contradicts actual history from the novel. For example, its said that in history, Lu Bu only fought 2 notable duels: He beat a General who used to serve Dong Zhou (Forgot his name) and he retreated from a duel against Yu Jin. The rest are against bandits

Unfortunately, Lu Bu is no hero of Hu Lao Gate, there never was a "batte of Hu Lao Gate"......Luo Guanzhong put it in the novel to dramatise Lu Bu. In real history, Liu Bei and his brothers were fighting Yellow Turbans, and Lu Bu was still in service of Dong Zhuos army.
